There is no better location on the lake, especially if you rent a waterfront cabana with stairs leading directly into the water! Magical location a few miles out of town for those of us who don’t like noisy bars and street traffic. Attentive, friendly staff. Awesome swimming and views. Functioning AC. Pleasant, reasonably priced restaurant right overlooking the water. Truly a gem of a hotel. The rooms are spacious, simple, yet very clean and architecturally soothing. Elegant simplicity sums it up!

Nice room, clean. Had one on the lagoon with a small dock with lounge chairs, very nice. Pool and jacuzzi are nothing much and rarely used by anyone. Restaurant food is poor, and main concierge was useless.

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children so I liked the room, it was confortable, it was close from the lagoon and the restaurant, I request double beds and were there at arrival so that was great. food is really good, breakfasts is included and they have fresh juice as well, lunch and dinner you can also have it at the hotel, with extra charge and is not that expensive, we all love the lagoon, paddle board and cayaks, staff is excelent, so kind and always able to help, Alexander at the concierge help us a lot with every single thing, Francisco at the breakfast buffet was soo kind to explain to us everything we should order and eat. We just loved it We certainly come back!

Stayed for one night with 2 children (having driven from Tulum). We stayed in lake view cabin which had beautiful views and was spacious, whilst maintaining a rustic feel. The road to the hotel could have been better lit and smoother. The level of service was good, but the fine touches we had experienced at all the other hotels in Mexico (4-5 star), such as offering to help with our bags when unloading our car, etc. was not there. Breakfast was average. We took a boat tour from the hotel which was very worthwhile, and our tour guide/ driver of the boat was fantastic. Overall the hotel service was good, the lake views were exceptional. For us, a one night stay here was about right.

Scorpion fell from the roof to the bed

I was very excited to stay at the hotel because of the great reviews. We were provided a cabin and sadly an Alacran fell from the roof onto our bed while we were resting. My husband jumped up before he was stung. The hotel attempted to address the issue by saying these are common creatures especially due to the rain. Upon our insistence they switched our room. Late at night we are moving our items from one room to the next. The second room was better but the whole ordeal was not pleasant. The rest of facilities were solid.

Rustic small hotel on the side of the lagoon

This rustic and slightly weathered hotel fits in well with its beautiful surroundings. There are a variety of rooms and we stayed in a lagoon side cabana with private access to the lagoon. The room had good aircon, good WiFi and mosquito protection. That said the breeze that builds during the day ensures you don’t see too many mosquitoes. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The big restaurant has a good selection of food and is beautifully positioned with views of the lagoon. The service was excellent, in particular Jorges at breakfast and Francisco at dinner who looked after our every need so well. There is a small pool which is great for kids and a hot tub. The boat trip on the lagoon is great. The only downside was the sound of trucks on the nearby highway which must affect most of the hotels along the shore of the lagoon, outside of the town. That said the noise was at its worse in the early hours (despite which I recommend an early morning swim to watch the sunrise!) and disappeared as the onshore wind picked up during the day. Overall the hotel is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing time next to the delightful lagoon, although we felt the rooms were quite expensive so would recommend trying to book it when the rooms are on a 37% discount which we discovered they were after we had already booked !
