"We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel isn't the newest hotel but it is super cute and well kept. I love small hotels so this was perfect. We stayed for 6 days and thank the Lord had no issues. On the day of our arrival, Brooke at the front desk was very pleasant. We had a room that faced the inside part of the hotel where we could see the pool and the nicest part of the hotel. If you have a lengthy stay, definitely request it. Especially if you plan on sitting in the balcony area, like we did. Our room was cleaned daily with no issues. I actually saw lots of cleaning being done throughout the hotel during my stay. Which is always a plus. We requested and paid for a late checkout and had no issues there either. Free breakfast was a super plus. And it was good! The roach motel (roadway inn) across the parking lot. Gross. Definitely glad we were nowhere near it. Trashy, and sometimes loud! We only saw it when we parked our car. Thank the Lord. The pool towels need to be cleaned better and need to be replaced completely. They are super small. Like even too small for a kid. Something the hotel should definitely upgrade. The towels do nothing. Super thin and rough. That being said, Overall a good experience."

"Our front desk greeting was less than welcoming, however most of the staff was kind and helpful. The property is clean and yet shows wear in the hallways and some of the furniture. That being said, the room was clean and linens and towels nice. Our room had a patio facing the pool, which was convenient and nice. The pool activities were resort like with music and "speacials" through out our stay. The best part of the resort was the spa and the extra amentities which came with the services. The lap pool was quiet, the hot tubs while in use, were not crowded, the indoor pool was also uncrowded and all drew a more quiet crowd. We did not eat at the resort, but rather walked into Safety Harbor. I thought the price was reasonable and would stay again."

"Howard Johnson goes back a long time. Always like the old world charm of the 50’s and 60’s styling. Only one small quirk was my shower knob did not work and it was broken. Fortunately it was stuck on a reasonable temperature to shower and used it as that. Breakfast was quite meager, very small lounge and limited food choices. But I assume it’s because of the limited space that had there. Overall it was alright and would go there again since my beach location in Clearwater was all but overbooked. Thank you."
