"We were upgraded which was a very pleasant surprise to us. The room and facilities were all perfect. Lovely size room with all we required to hand. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient, as were the restaurant and cleaning staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Stairs, but a big room. Bathroom had nowhere for toiletries and also had empty toiletries on the wall containers. Brekky was great. Staff were fabulous."

"Bed was really comfortable. Location is good. Staff excellent. Rooms probably due a refurb soon. Disappointed that there seems to be 2 different full English breakfast options offered , one for resident guests and one for paying daily customers. The resident breakfast is not to the same standard . We paid a lot of money for a 2 night stay and the breakfast definitely lets it down. "

"Everything about our stay was wonderful! The Inn was adorable, so quaint. Exactly what we had hoped for. Although it was built in 1795, the place was spotlessly clean. The Innkeeper was wonderful as was breakfast...a proper English breakfast. Their dinners of fish and chips and Bangers and Mash were amazing. The local people were so friendly. Everything was walkable. Just a great stay!!"
