"The hotel is a rural golf resort with very reasonable room prices. Lovely park like surroundings and gardens. Standard rooms had everything necessary including bottled water. 2 dining options, formal and casual bar meals. Bar meals were very nice. Had a table at the window with great views of the formal gardens and part of the golf course. The hotel is within a stately country manor, so while it was not an issue, there was no lift, and outside access doors were locked. "

"The check in at the property was super easy and friendly. The room was spacious clean and had a big bathtub, as well as it’s own private enclosed patio. The hotel has its own restaurant and is within walking to other restaurants. I, unfortunately, had a stroke while I was on the property and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. The staff were immediately responsive, friendly and helpful in getting me care and exit out of the hospital via a disability ramp. They worked closely with the paramedics to ensure a smooth exit for my room and the hotel into the ambulance. While I spent the night in the hospital, the staff were very attentive to my wife and her needs while she was at the that evening and the following morning. I highly recommend staying at this hotel when you are in the area, mostly because of the amenities, but also because of the attentive and caring staff."

"It is a lovely hotel, very peaceful and quiet area. It could use a bit of redecoration in certain sites but it is clean enough and still very comfortable with all the amenities. Breakfast is superb (I would say above average for the chain hotels) and this is one of the very few hotels where you can actually open the windows! (and there is a garden outside so it is actually pleasant to do). Swimming pool is again maybe a bit old but perfectly good and comfortable to use. It is a great place for a relaxing stay to detach from the daily stress; not so much if you really need a good wifi as this can be really sluggish, although maybe there is a way around it (I think they have some premium wifi service there but there will be likely an extra fee). "
