Furthermore, thanks to its central location, the most beautiful places in Tuscany are easily accessible by car, including Siena, San Gimignano, Florence, the Tyrrhenian Sea, San Galgano, and Volterra!

Have you ever thought about waking up in the morning to enjoy the silence and connect with nature? Have you ever dreamed of being in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by the region’s history and flavours?
Well, Casa Marjs is definitely what you’ve been looking for.
Built on the walls of Chiusdino, a medieval village perched on a hill in the so-called “Colline Metallifere,” Casa Marjs boasts a splendid view of the Sienese countryside, where a variety of colours paint the wide valley.

The roof has recently been renovated because safety is our top priority. Moreover, this essential work was carried out while respecting both the ancient architectural tradition and the home’s distinctive features, in order to preserve its bucolic spirit. That’s why many of the objects and most of the furniture are original to the house itself, dating from the 19th century to the present day.

The Characteristic Garden.
A few words must definitely be said about the typical, spacious garden. Waking up and simply enjoying the rustling of the wind, surrounded by beautiful flowers and fruit trees, is priceless! There are some varieties of roses that are over 50 years old, and the “grand vine” is over 100! In one corner of the garden, you’ll find aromatic herbs for cooking, and further on, even some tomato plants—all available for guests to use. To top it all off, there’s also an old kiwi vine, under whose shade you can relax in the cool! If you’re lucky and visit at the right time, you can enjoy bunches of juicy grapes or the kiwis themselves, which are still being harvested!
Other things to keep in mind
One thing to note is the check-in time: we’re very flexible regarding the time slot you choose (15:00-20:00), but we’d prefer to have it around 6:30 PM due to work commitments (on weekdays). In any case, it is possible to arrange a different time at your convenience, provided you give us sufficient advance notice.

A car or motorcycle is strongly recommended to reach Chiusdino. Public transport is very limited, but some buses offer several daily connections to nearby cities. Only small cars or motorcycles can navigate the narrow streets to reach the entrance to Casa Marjs directly. Otherwise, you’ll need to leave your car below the walls (a 2-minute walk).
Motorcycles of any size can be parked directly on the property, near the garden.

The bed in the “Red Room” is a standard double bed, while the one in the “Green Room” is a queen-size bed.
