Brilliant stay here.. beautiful country location but close to the town. The ladies who greeted us and looked after us were friendly, accommodating and just genuinely great people. Wish we could have stayed longer! Hope we will be back
Gorgeous house sitting next to a farm. Not location I thought it would be on the map as there is a dual carriageway between it and Christchurch town. A local told me we could have walked down the road and over the footbridge into centre within 20mins. Wasn't told this and there was no local info said to us nor written, only plugging local eaterie in which they have an interest. However the house itself is gorgeous, Havilland room fabulous, massive bed, opulent decor, spacious open bathroom with roomy shower and sink. The room has a balcony overlooking the big garden with splash pool, so nice to sit in an evening. Really vould have been abroad with the gorgeous weather we had. The Bear of Burton and Oak Inn are short walk for dinner. Food ok in both. Nice country smells and noises from next door cows which reminded me of home!
Really comfortable stay in a beautiful house. Excellent hospitality and a superb and very generous breakfast. The owners also have a delicious Thai restaurant in Christchurch called the Ship which did absolutely delicious food. Excellent stay would totally recommend.
The owner and staff were incredibly lovely and accommodating, especially as we needed an early check-in to prepare for our wedding that day. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was seamless for us.
The stunning interior decor and the delicious breakfast truly added to our special day. Being just down the road from our wedding venue in Sopley, it was the perfect location. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day so perfect!
The breakfast was excellent. Delicious fresh fruit, coffee and full English! Beautifully furnished house and lovely grounds. Friendly, helpful owners and staff. Thank you for a great stay.
Unique style lovely garden and small but nice pool. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Probably needs a bit of a touch up around the property but overall relaxing and quite.
We loved the rural area and the lovely ornamants and art work throughout the property. The kids had an amazing time with plenty of space for them to run around. The pool was small but perfect as easier to watch the kids.

Lovely setting
Lovely setting and the house has lovely grounds, the swimming pool and hot tub are great additions and we also discovered there was a sauna but we never got to try it. The owners are friendly and welcoming and our suite was comfortable and quaint.
This is a lovely old house. Small pool and a hot tub. Huge gardens. Our room (Genius) was big. Comfy bed, lovely shower. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only down point was big thick duvet in summer and no alternative available.
We really liked Cedar House and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is an older property which comes with its quirks (but that's also why we preferred it to the soulless hotel chains). The furnishings and paintings made it feel homely and warm. Staff were lovely, the breakfast was great and it was a pleasure to sit out in the garden for some peace and quiet. The pub, almost next door, serves good evening meals. It was also a great base for exploring the area - we had never heard of, but really liked, Hengistbury Head which is only a few miles away.
We had a really lovely time over the Easter weekend. The property and the grounds are beautiful but a little bit tired in places, which only really added to the look. The housekeeper who greeted us was so lovely and welcoming and our room was fantastic. It was a really unusual space and we had a huge balcony which we enjoyed. The only downside was on the first night we struggled to get any hot water for a shower, but after asking for some help the housekeeper came and sorted it for us.
The breakfast was lovely and there was lots of choice.
All in all, a really good stay
Very quiet location. Half Moon Cabin is quite small but fine for a couple .
The bathroom looks good but trying to have a shower stood in a sloping bath was not easy . Maybe a large shower would have been more practical

Nice welcome from Maggie, the proprietor, who showed us our room. Very large room with lovely views to the rear and the extensive gardens, pool and other areas. The room was however very tired looking and needing attention, the shower valve needed replacing and didn’t work properly, the foot of the bed was threadbare and the balcony furniture old and rusty, having said this the room did have a certain charm. Breakfast was ok, the cooked breakfast was acceptable, the buffet very disappointing with very little available. The two staff seemed pleasant, we didn’t see Maggie again. The house had so much character and with a little effort and money spent could be vastly improved. The gardens, outside cabins and pool areas again all needed attention.

What an amazing find on hotels.com this is, fantastic hosts in Chris &
The property is on the shabby side of chic. Garden area feels unloved.
Room was clean, though smelt slightly musty.
Breakfast very good.
Better options in the area.
We had a brilliant 2 night stay with Chris and Maggie. Excellent hosts who made us feel welcome and comfortable. Cedar House is a wonderful house full of character and charm. A great stay and we look forward to our return

Property and pavilion we stayed in are secluded and private. Although small the pool is very nice. Nice well kept garden areas. The hosts were friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Full English breakfast is not to be missed.

Classic home to stay in
Great building beautifully furnished. Nice bedroom in the classic style with balcony. Chris and his wife were very welcoming and breakfast was superb. Only drawback was shower as it had no power and was not secured to the wall properly. Location excellent and nearby pub restaurant Bull was excellent
Had a very pleasant stay. Bed very comfortable. Arm chairs in the sitting area were alright but could do with new cushion pads.
Lovely gardens with very welcome plunge pool.
Good selection at breakfast.
We were in a garden room which although very nice could have been even better with a small amount of TLC.
Hosts very pleasant and helpful.
B & B in a beautiful setting, perfect location for the coast and New Forest. Attractive building and gardens with swimming pool. Really good breakfast selection with homemade preserves. Just felt some of the attention to detail was lacking. The area around our room was tired, the patio slabs looked like they needed a good clean and the door lock seemed very flimsy, the 2 armchairs weren’t that clean. Plus the ashtray on the patio table still had cigarette ends in it. It’s a shame because it could’ve been the perfect stay.
