A gorgeous sandy beach is within walking distance where breathtaking views from the cliff top take in a sweep of scenery, including the Isle of Wight and the ‘Needles', Mudeford and Hengistbury Head. Magnificent coastal and forest walks make this an ideal area for those who enjoy the great outdoors, whether it is on foot, bicycle or horseback.
There's a reserved parking space outside for guests, with more space in the streets surrounding the property.
The cottage has its own garden area with outdoor seating and established trees and plants, making it a great outdoor sanctuary.
Central heating throughout. As this is a thatched property, we are unable to allow use of the fireplace for safety and insurance reasons.
The property is strictly no smoking.
Activities: If you've exhausted the beach and exploring the New Forest, there's plenty of other activities on offer. A round of golf can be booked at either Highcliffe Castle, Brockenhurst or Barton on Sea Golf Clubs. Spoil yourself and book a meal at one of the fantastic restaurants in the area or enjoy a pamper day at the award winning Chewton Glen Country Club & Day Spa. For the kids, there's the dry ski slope, sailing activities at Mudeford Quay, and of course, lots of sea, surf and sand. There's even a dry ski slope, a short drive away.

Excellent property for a quiet getaway with your furry friends
Excellent quality of all bedding, furniture, great service and lots of great walks to the beach.
Definitely be back.
NB: perfect for your canine friends, so accommodating (except the neighbours who clearly don’t like dogs)
The cottage is comfortable, quiet and well-equipped. It is well-situated for the New Forest and the seaside. It was a perfect for a group of friends for a long weekend stay, including a visit to Bournemouth and cycling. Jane was very helpful and responsive. Spacious kitchen with lots of pans and equipment for a roast dinner. Enclosed garden. There are shops supermarkets nearby. Very pleased with the choice, i would highly recommend this property.
A lovely property and everything went like clockwork. A small doorway to the downstairs single bedroom caught my husband’s head out quite a few times ( You think he would have remembered after the first half dozen!) A step between the dining area and lounge, we were sure would catch us out but it never did, thankfully. Everything we needed was on hand and the cottage is situated very nicely in a quiet area but close enough to shops and the seafront. The enclosed front garden was good for our dogs. With stone floors it was a bit chilly at times but the heating control was easy to understand and we warmed up in no time. All in all a lovely few days.
We stayed here for a week during the Easter hoildays and really enjoyed our stay. It's a beautiful little cottage and there was plenty of room for our family of four (all over 18) and our dog. We found a selection of board games to play as the weather could have been better!! There is the lovely Highcliffe beach a 15 minute walk away and a great choice of cafes and takeaways in Highcliffe. The property had everything we needed although there is not too much outside area and no grass (all chippings) but the front garden is enclosed so our dog could go out without any worries. Had a bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival which went down very well thank you. It was a lovely little cottage indeed.
