Great centre for exploring Connemara
A friendly local hotel with great food and conveniently located in the village centre with free parking. Nearby are supermarket, bakery, pubs. Beautiful walks in the nearby Clonbur Woods and two minutes’ walk to an excellent playground.

The hotel is perfect location for us cause we were travelling around Mayo and Galway. Breakfast was lovely and staffs were very nice and friendly. Really enjoyed staying there. Love to go back there again.

Very welcoming hotel
Very friendly staff and very welcoming. The rooms are good and the facilities of very good quality. I had hoped for more seafood in the restaurant but the menu was ok too.

We really enjoyed our recent three night stay at Fairhill House Hotel. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff who served us a great breakfast each morning with several choices, beautiful presented. Dinner menu is also excellent especially the lamb!!! Dogs are treated just as well as everyone else staying there - our Chichi felt very much at home! Thank you for looking after us so well Fairhill House Hotel.

Great hotel with excellent service
Really beautiful quaint hotel. The staff couldnt be any nicer or helpful! We had a bit of a mixup with rooma but they were so accommodating and even moved everything for us to the new room. Would highly recommend

Small friendly family run hotel, the food was excellent and the staff were great, the room was a bit on the small side but had everything I needed. I would have no hesitation in returning if I was in the area again. A great bases for exploring Connemara

Great place for a weekend away
Nice hotel although the rooms could do with a refurb (CRT TV in the room) but otherwise a very charming place. The staff was very welcoming and nice

Charming Clonbur hotel
Stayed here recently for a two night break,lovely small hotel in the middle of the charming village of Clonbur.Traditional bar attached with great food,met Eddie the owner who is a great host and a mine of local information.Highly recommend it!

Lovely hotel and staff were very attentive. The food was excellent. Nice location to base youself to explore. Cong nearby for John Wayne’s ‘The Quiet Man’ filming (one of my favourite films of all time) so worth an explore. Would definitely stay here again in it’s beautiful surroundings

A nice break from b and b's
A very nice hotel in a beautiful area of Ireland. It was a refreshing change from the b and b's of preceding days. It had all the amenities and feel of a nice hotel. Not much to do around the area unless you are an avid sportsperson. However, the scenery is beautiful. The limited staff at the hotel were very helpful and nice. The restaurant connected to the hotel was very good. If I were in the area again and needed accommodations, I would choose this hotel.

Very old & dirty front desk very nice&helpful, but could not get passed looking out window in small court yard full of garbage & cigarette buts! Also they advertise they have shuttle but had to walk to street with luggage & wait for bus,very hard to do with luggage&handicap person.

Nice Hotel Slightly Far from Quiet Man
The staff were great and very helpful. The rooms were nice and Eddie's Bar (attached to hotel) was a good place for a meal and a pint. There's a great nature walking trail through the woods from Clonbur over to Cong which ends right by the Abbey. It's a bit of a hike (about 2 hours) but a very nice walk and relatively flat.

definite NO!
No one works the front desk. They work the bar next door. Finally someone came to check us in. There is no parking except for the few cars in from of the door , but you share that with the pub. The beds are hard, mold on the tub mat. No one was at the front desk at 8am when we checked out and bar was closed. There were newspapers dropped off and still in wrapper so I don't know what time if ever the front desk is manned.

Thank you for taking time to review Fairhill House Hotel. I am sorry to hear you had trouble with parking We have a large secure car-park at the rear of our hotel as well as the car-park at the front of the hotel. Eddies Bar is the hotel's public bar. I have passed the housekeeping comments on to our housekeeping staff who operate to a extremely high standard as we are always getting compliments on the comfort and cleanliness of our guest bedrooms.
