"!!!Calling all pet lovers!!!This vacation hit a reset button for us. We absolutely loved it here. Brownie the horse was the biggest love and would come to the front porch to visit. The cows are just as friendly! There's a lama named Ted but we called him the drama lama as he's not interested in being petted but wanted to still be close. Ester Lee Oceanview Inn

8/10 Good

"EsterLee has been my favorite motel as long as I have lived in Oregon. Rooms are basic but comfortable, staff members are helpful, it is well located, and the ocean views cannot be topped. I take guests there whenever I have out of state visitors and they speak of it as if it were an old friend and not just a place to stay. However, it has changed hands in the past year or so and in the most recent room, the Kurig style coffee maker did not work until a desk employee came and worked on it for a while and it did not work again the next day. The rather confusing instructions for the in-room fireplace did not work but there was baseboard heating and the room did not get cold. The window looking out the gorgeous sea view had a badly-damaged screen frame which was bent out of shape (as was I) and did not completely cover the window and warped the view. A previous room I stayed in recently had a slat missing on the blind by the door at a height where passing people could look readily into the room. I hope these issues are not permanent as the property has been a gem on the Oregon coast."

"The continental breakfast was okay, not amazing. We were in the third floor, the view of the coast was incredible. Hearing the waves from our room was incredible. The shower water pressure was not great, only one setting in the faucet head gave pressure and it was the jet. All others were a trickle. The property was extremely clean and cute, good parking. All the staff was very nice and professional. There was an obscene amount of no smoking signs weed, vapes, cigarettes big no no on the grounds. I didn’t get to check out the pool/spa/ fitness center but I did see quite a few kids in bathing suits so it was nice to know it was heated and in use. The location of the hotel was centrally located, the roads a little less sidewalky so it might not be the easiest to walk but very much a possibility to do so. I would stay here again,"

"Check in was very smooth, welcoming and invited us to have smoke salmon chowder and fresh baked cookies at 5pm. Breakfast was delicious, Bed was comfortable & we slept great. Big glass coffee cups in the room for our first cup of delicious coffee when we woke up. Easy stroll to the beautiful beach. Outside shower to rinse the sand off."
