"The condo building appeared to be older and dated. The hallways appeared dark and had a wet rag odor. The unit seemed to have had some repairs and upgrades. The view of the lake and sun rising from the glass windows were amazing. The beds were very comfortable and showers were super big and spacious. Everything was fine, check in was a breeze, parking spot could use some more lighting it was dark when we arrived at night. The only issue I had was there were bugs and crawling insects in the kitchen area, on the walls and on the beds even a baby lizard was spotted in the kitchen and went under the oven. I was not used to that so our first night was a bit uncomfortable and on edge as I’m terrified of any type of bugs. I know Hawai’i has a lot of bugs and critters but I was not used to them all up indoors. Behind the AC units could use some deep cleaning. We saw dead bugs back there. The cleanliness of the unit is at a 7 out of 10. I’d recommend that the cleaning crew can work more on the deep cleaning and not just the surface cleaning. Due to this issue I probably won’t be returning. And I also think it was over priced for having these issues. We stayed a beautiful resort in Kona without any concerns for way less."

"Genuinely had a perfect experience with my week staying here! I'm from an area where AC is all but ubiquitous and I run warm, so I was a bit worried about the room being too hot. It wasn't an issue in the slightest! My room was laid out perfectly with a small balcony and multiple windows to capture the winds blowing through. I was perfectly comfortable and my room was equipped with a ceiling and floor fans for the rare times I wanted them. If anyone reading this is like me and reading reviews and worrying about the rooms being too warm, I can genuinely promise my room was never anything other than comfortable. Aside from the pleasant temperature, everything else was so smooth. I didn't stay at a peak tourist time, but there was always plenty of parking available. Staff were always pleasant and helpful, and housekeeping always made sure my room's trash was taken out daily. My room was very clean and cozy. Location is fantastic, quiet but a short drive from everything in the Hilo area. My balcony view of Reed's Bay was wonderful; I saw sea turtles almost every day right from my room! I also really appreciated the on-site laundromat. Check-in and check-out were smooth and simple. The hotel is older (and there is no elevator), but it's clean and has a lot of positives too. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat, zero complaints and a super pleasant experience from start to finish! Thank you for such a nice stay!"

"As soon as you pulled up the valet was very friendly and helpful with directions. The view to the ocean took my breath away as soon as you walked in to the main entrance. I enjoyed my stay and it was very pleasant having staff text me about current events and things going on around the area. For example the volcano being active so that we didn’t get to miss anything special about Hawaii. I didn’t even have to go anywhere and got to see sea turtles right outside the restaurant after breakfast the day before we were going to leave."

"Over all we were very satisfied with our suite. We had a nice view of the park and sunrises, comfortable rooms, beds and air conditioning was great. Beach towels and beach chairs were much appreciated. The kitchen is small and has no dishwasher. Lighting over the dining area would have been welcomed. I would definitely stay there again because it is centrally located and comfortable and reasonably priced."

"Very nice condo. Cozy and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was nice, plenty of good places to eat nearby as well. Pool was closed while we were there which was unfortunate, but I won't fault them for that. The lagoon behind the place was great to walk around."
