Tried to check in at 12.30pm and were told we couldn't access our rooms until 3pm. Which is super frustrating and there wasn't even any sense of empathy or apology for it. INA Hotel Royal
A very basic hotel. The corridor and room smelt musty. Bed was comfortable. Okay for a short stay on a budget.

The Ascot Hotel Köln
Great stay and good location. Easy access to transit. Staff were very nice and helpful and room was quite large. Wish it had had a queen mattress instead of two singles pushed together but it was otherwise perfect and comfortable.

Ruby Ella Hotel Cologne
It’s a young people’s hotel. Clean and comfortable of loud. Amenities like hot drinks in a corridor rather than my room not for me. Perfectly good and good value for a type of traveller - just not this one ☺️ 51 year old business traveller.
