Superb
Our stay was amazing. Judith , Julian and family were above and beyond. Our Grandsons had a wonderful time on the farm 🚜 we had a tour, bringing the cows in from the field , to watching them being milked, then to feed two new baby calves , and to end it with a tractor 🚜 ride 😀. The accommodation is very clean, and the boys loved living upside down lol 😆. The countryside is beyond words, stunning . I would recommend this 100% we shall definitely go again. Thankyou

3 nights in a cottage near Colyton, Devon
The Apple Loft is a lovely cottage. It is clean, well equipped and comfortable. The farm is set amidst fabulous rolling countryside and within a short drive of beaches. There is a large lawned area to enjoy, as well as a games room (both shared with two other cottages). Judith is friendly and helpful. She provided clear directions to the farm, met us on arrival to show us around and was able to provide good local knowledge of walks, places to visit etc. This was a lovely relaxing few days and a shame that we couldn't have stayed longer to enjoy the cottage and surrounding area even more.

Peaceful
As we were the only ones staying in the cottages the experience was perfect, very quiet and a central to most tourist destinations along the East Devon coast. The property was clean, comfortable and very warm. Would recommend this place and hope to return for a longer stay

Hidden Gem
What a beautiful secluded spot. We stayed in the Apple Loft, a lovely upside down house that was cosy and comfortable but provided modern and surprisingly spacious accommodation. It is off the beaten track but perfectly located for exploring South Devon. Our hosts were friendly and efficient and made us feel very welcome. The week passed all too quickly. Highly recommended!!! Thank you so much Judith and Julian, we had a holiday packed with memories!

The Apple Loft
We loved it at the Apple Loft it was just right for my family of 3 which was all we needed. Judith was very friendly and helped us out with anything we needed. It is on a farm location and away from built up areas which we love. We did have a game of snooker in the games room which was a full size table and had a game of bowling which was so much fun the way it was constructed was fabulous. We would stay again no problem if we need to pop down to Devon again. Many thanks to Judith for making us feel welcome.

Splendid!
We received a warm welcome from Judith, who showed us to the property on arrival. The Apple loft was perfect for a couple. It is beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay and is situated in an excellent location to explore both Devon and Dorset. We hope to be able to visit again.

The Apple Loft
First impressions on arrival were great, and the location itself a little remote but otherwise a well looked after peaceful location (apart from the farm dog that woke us up twice barking at around 4:30am!) Unfortunately we slept terribly all week, we didn’t find the bed or the pillows comfortable at all. There were flies in the cottage all week; we tried desperately to get rid of them using the fly spray provided, but more kept appearing. There was some sort of fly killing machine on top of the kitchen wall units, and although the socket implied that it was switched on, it wasn’t working. There was also an issue with the plinth/kick board on the floor underneath the fridge/oven; if touched only slightly with your foot, it fell forward and wasn’t connected to the feet of the units underneath. We had to put it back several times over the course of the week. The sofa situated between the kitchen and the tv, which we believe was the sofa bed, was the most uncomfortable sofa we’ve ever sat on; all of the cushions move constantly and dip as you apply weight to them so that you end up slouching badly when trying to watch the TV. I resorted to sitting on the floor to watch the TV on occasion. The bathroom window would be improved if it had frosted glass; it overlooks the courtyard and considering that the other cottages are directly opposite, with the windows open and a breeze, the vertical blinds do not stop anyone being able to look in……not great when taking a shower or sitting on the loo! There were quite a few cobwebs around the cottage……especially in the eves above the kitchen/lounge area upstairs. Whilst I appreciate that these are harder to reach areas, it’s not impossible to get to them with the correct cleaning equipment. The wall light above the stairs was covered in cobwebs. A long handled soft broom would have been a better option for sweeping the hard floors instead of the small vacuum cleaner. I’m afraid that we came home a day earlier than we’d booked and paid for……..the combination of the factors I’ve mentioned in this review drove us home to our own bed and a good nights sleep.

Excellent place
I can't fault this holiday accommodation. The cottage is perfect - smart, clean, comfortable. The farm is lovely with super views. There is a games room which is the best I've ever seen at a holiday cottage. The host is really lovely, cheerful and replies almost immediately to any communication. It's only a short drive to the coast, and once you get used to the narrow roads it's relatively straighforward.
