"Clean modern room, nice 24/7 staff. They do charge to hold bags, there’s no coffee or tea in the room. No water. We’ve traveled extensively thru Italy so surprised by that. Otherwise, close to water taxi and again, nice modern clean rooms."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Saturnia & International. The rooms were very clean, the A/C worked great, the breakfast was wonderful, the location was easily within walking distance to many of the landmarks in Venice, and Jacopo was very helpful in arranging our transportation via water taxi. The only issue we encountered was getting there from the airport. I had booked an Uber van for our group (6 adults and 10 pieces of luggage) thinking it would take us directly to the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is only accessible via walkways or water taxi. The Uber driver dropped us off in a parking lot and told us this was as far as he could go. I then checked on Google Maps and it showed a 23 minute walk from the drop off location. There were multiple canal crossings within this route, each with steps leading up and down over the canals. We ended up flagging down a water taxi and taking it to within block of the hotel. Total cost for the Uber and the water taxi was over €250 for our group from the airport to the hotel. Lesson learned - take a water taxi from the airport directly to the hotel."

"The Excelsior on the Lido is the perfect spot to relax and recharge, whilst having rapid access, by hotel boat and public boat transport, to Venice and nearby islands. We find the Lido and its beach to be a much more pleasurable Venice base than staying in the center of Venice. Excelsior is an old-world style resort, with all of the wonderful staff and amenities of yesteryear, with no pretension. The facilities and services at both the private beach and pool are simply perfect. The staff are warm and always happy to help in any way they can. The rooms are elegant and well appointed. This was our second visit and we WILL be back!"

"The hotel was perfect. The location was great. The room was roomy and clean. The rooftop lounge was pretty. There are stairs so you need to be fit to stay on top floor. I am don’t was great! 1st time to Venice. Would recommend the hotel for adult travelers! :)"

"Brilliant hotel in great location, quiet and peaceful but accessible to centre of town. The restaurant was lovely and the staff very helpful, answering all of my many questions on how to get to places and understand the buses. The breakfast was varied with lots to choose from and different pastries each day. The pool was lovely and the drinks service was an added bonus. Thank you for a lovely stay."
