We really enjoyed the evening meal.The menu is vast and caters for all dietary needs. Large portions and very tasty -compliments to the chef. The inn has a really comfy cosy atmosphere and we had an amazing view from our room. The breakfast was very generous with great service too. Highly recommend."

"A unique cottage, tastefully renovated and very comfortably furnished. The kitchen provides everything you can think of to rustle up lovely holiday meals. The outside patio is a great space to relax, being so private. The freezer located in the cycle store was a nice surprise, as this was not mentioned in the details, and came in very handy. We appreciated the peace and quiet and yet only a short stroll to all the amenities Rothbury has to offer.All in all a perfect base to explore beautiful Northumberland and we had such a wonderful stay. "Lovely comfortable cottage. Very clean and well equipped, it could do with a serrated bread knife. The bed was lovely and cosy.The shops were just a stroll down the road, as was the Italian Restaurant La Mensa. Our only problem was the key safe is through the gate rather than on it. It wasn't clear at all from the description. Luckily for us, the owner's father came just at the right time. We had just started to speak to Vrbo when he came."

"A very well equipped cottage with everything you need and in a peaceful setting. It's near to the shops in Rothbury, (down a very steep field - if you decide to walk!), of which there are a good number and variety for the size of the place. It's also a good base for exploring that area of Northumberland. We walked part of Hadrian's Wall, also Lord Armstrong's carriageway and up to and along the ridge of Simonside Hills. We also had walks in Kielder Forest, from Beadnell to the Ship Inn in Low Newton and along the beach from Bamburgh to Seahouses. We'd previously visited Crag Side a couple of times but that is very near and well worth a visit."
