"Wonderful walks nearby. It was our first night after arriving from America. We were delighted it was so close to the airport (though no plane noise and it felt like country/rural). And we were especially delighted that the place had a fabulous dining room where we had a superb dinner and tasty light breakfast. Highly recommend. "

"The staff at The Old Ground Hotel were simply amazing. The most wonderful hospitality was granted to us and it stands out in my experience across any hotel I’ve stayed in, in a long time. In fact I picked The Old Ground as I had stayed here for a family reunion exactly ten years ago. We arrived late and then could not drive through Ennis due to diversions. The desk staff not only guided us in through the town to their car park in real time, but managed to get us a very last minute and late evening table for 4 in their bistro, accommodating a tired and hungry family who were making a pit stop before flying from SNN the next am. The team made check in easy. Made sure we got all we needed at dinner including off menu options and then made sure we got checked in and up to our rooms. Similarly the next morning, a delicious breakfast, warm greetings and wonderful service! Outstanding staff and experience. We can’t stop talking about it. Thank you. "
