Grand Beach Hotel

"First, let me say that OVERALL it was an incredible stay! We loved our room and the hotel, itself. However, “You only get one chance to make to make a first impression” and arriving for the first time at The Grand Beach was terrible, to say the least. The valet/bell staff seemed to be inconvenienced by our arrival. We asked several people for change so we could tip the bellman, EVERYONE looked at us like we were crazy. The bartender at the bar even looked at me and said, “Do I look like a bank?” As someone who visits MANY resorts including Ritz Carlton properties, Four Seasons, etc. many of the staff at The Grand Beach would benefit from more customer courtesy and relations training. Even just a basic, “HELLO AND WELCOME!” with a smile, would have been nice to hear. Front desk was a little bit better at check in. THE best customer relations came from pool/wait/beach staff. All of whom were friendly and helpful. Especially at the coffee shop. This property has ALL the makings of a world class resort, there just needs to be a lot less attitude and a lot more “my pleasure” when dealing with guests."

"The property was ok. The pool by the beach is very small and crowded. The food was decent but overpriced. The beds were very small and not that comfortable. Tiny bathroom, exhaust fan didn’t work, glass door. Entrance door to our room kept jiggling making it sound like someone was trying to break in, waking us up before the sun came up and continued on for hours. The center pool was a quiet atmosphere and front entrance was nice. The location to the beach was also nice. We also didn’t like having to pay $55 per day for parking. All in all it was alright but we won’t stay there again."

"Room was newly renovated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pricey but good in the hotel. One thing to take note, the hotel allows non-guests to purchase a day pass to use their facilities. The pool was very crowded over the holiday weekend with a majority of the pool facilities being used by non-hotel guests as indicated by their red wrist bands. Would return on future stays."

"Room service horrible never got my room cleaned for 4 days no towels ask numerous times and never received service then after check out they tried to charge me 613.00 saying I didnt pay then when asst manager came he fixed issue also its not noted a deposit of 200 cash or 300 credit card deposit at all 50 a day per person they charge you only thing good was the free valet parking and they was trying to charge 25 a day for that until they seen it was free u cant sit on the pool cabanas u gotta pay for that too they take the beach chairs at 7pm from you if u sitting in them never again I will stay here"

"The Security guard at the pool was rude to all the patrons. They don't allow us to drink by the pool or jacuzzi, even if it's in plastic containers. The Argentinian security guard was beyond disrespectful! He treated us all as we were criminals. The rule is stupid. People pay a lot of money to stay at a resort to relax and drink by the water. He threatened to close the jacuzzi and made our stay a horrible experience. We will not"

"Nice place to stay. Convenient. Just needs update on the rooms. Little old fashioned. Stand up showers should be installed. Better lighting. Our balcony door didn’t lock: just fix stuff that needs fixing. Bathroom tiles were slightly black. Just needs slight renovations in the rooms"
