"This property was great. The rooms were clean and stocked. The grounds we're clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakgast was really good. The pool was clean as was the area around it. We were there on a weekend family getaway. Our goal was to do as little as possible and it was easy to achieve. We had dinner delivered in the lobby and played games while we ate 2 of the nights. The front desk lady (i wish I knew her name) brought us out some of the games they had so we had more options. The young man that checked us in (dont know his name either) was very helpful, friendly and funny. We had a great stay and would definitely stay there again."

"I didn’t have hot water when I woke up Sunday morning, I went immediately downstairs to the front desk, and I was told that the whole building was without hot water, I told them that that was the only reason why I stayed there, that I could have slept in my camper and I wanted my money back, I was told that they did not give refunds, I asked to talk to the general manager, but he never gave me a call back, I don’t know if they just shut the hot water off to save themselves money now that the gas is so expensive or if they have some issues with the boiler, but anyway, I pay for some services that I did not get and I’m pissed"

"An honest review: The lady who checked us in was polite, almost gushingly so, but I will take that over rude, impersonal staff any day. I booked an accessible room and advised I had a dog. Upon arrival, I was told there were no handicap pet rooms, but she made an exception for which I was grateful, but... disabled people have pets, too. I had a couple other brief encounters. They were all friendly as well. The room was reasonably comfortable overall, and TV channel choices were plentiful, though there is no "sleep mode". Then there's everything else. -Mold in the walk-in shower -a handicapped seat in the shower, but no handheld shower - no way to even get wet -Bed linens were "short sheeted" - they were put on sideways and upon climbing in bed after a long day, I had to fight to pull the sheets up. Realized the problem the next morning and just dealt with it. -The ice machine seemed broken. One lady helped by dumping a glass full of ice in the machine. (I guess it's the thought that counts), but we eventually got ice. -ALL chairs in the breakfast area are nothing short of disgusting. -the bedside light did a disco dance everytime, until it became a solid glow -the back hall door didnt close securely, making security uncertain We booked this room for being less expensive than two similar hotels next door. But less expensive should not include mold in the bathroom or filthy chairs where one eats."

"Very comfortable in a beautiful setting. Only spent one night. Everything was provided. I know it is designed to be a real getaway from everyday routines but I do wish there had been a real mirror. There is plenty of room to add one. The small 5 x7 mirror was pretty useless. And a couple more hooks for hanging things. Minor complaints but just in case they are looking for suggestions!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Sugar Mill Creek Tiny Home and found it to be a clean, cozy, and convenient base for exploring North Georgia. The location is excellent, just minutes from Lake Burton, Moccasin Creek State Park, Hemlock Falls, and Tallulah Gorge, and about 20 minutes from Helen.The tiny home is well stocked with pots, pans, and kitchen essentials, and the large refrigerator was very useful. The shower had great water pressure, and the washer and dryer were a big convenience during our stay. We also enjoyed the cute front porch, the peaceful creek, and the picnic areas along the creek. The neighborhood is quiet, and the friendly residents made the area feel welcoming.A few things to note: this is a very small tiny home with limited storage. There are no closets, dressers, drawers, nightstands, or dedicated space for suitcases and clothing, which can be challenging for longer stays. The upstairs kids' sleeping area could benefit from a fan or additional air conditioning during warmer weather.The area gets very dark at night, and additional lighting on the front porch would be helpful. We also experienced inconsistent Wi-Fi, especially in the evenings, making TV streaming difficult at times. The toilet occasionally required more than one flush. A small private backyard seating area would also be a nice addition for guests seeking a little more outdoor privacy.Overall, this is a clean, charming, and well-equipped tiny home in a great location for enjoying the area."
