They helped us check in much earlier at 5am and change our breakfast date as we needed to checked out very early to go to Machu Picchu. The services are very nice and the cats are cute and friendly.
Our family of 5 stayed here before and after a 5 day Salkantay Trek. They held our luggage and we had laundry done after our trek for 8 sol per kg. Everyone was wonderful and the location is excellent. I would stay here again.
While touring the Cusco area my family and I stayed at Casa Cavassa for 8 days and loved the accommodation. Casa Cavassa is central to everything a tourist wants to see. Close to markets, shops, churches, cathedrals, historic centers, and ancient ruins! Such a great location, well maintained accommodation, and great staff who worked through my lack of local knowledge and language with ease. Extreme thanks to all of the Cas Cavassa staff for making our stay memorable, easy, and safe.
All the staff was amazing. The only problem is for people with cats allergies because there are two around the property.
Great location, close ro plaza de armas

Great location and caring staff
The location of this hotel is fantastic for access many outstanding restaurants and key Cusco tourist attractions. The hotel price and room and bed sizes is also good. The staff are lovely and caring.
There are noise issues with the shared wall with the busy restaurant next door, the hotel breakfast kitchen, the doorbell that rings throughout the hotel, the resident cats, etc., but overall we were pleased with the stay.

Cozy, Friendly, Charming, everything you want!
We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Cavassa in Cusco! This boutique hotel is a hidden gem—beautifully designed, cozy, and full of charm. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, the rooms were clean and stylish, and the location was perfect for exploring the city.
One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was the presence of two adorable cats who live at the hotel. They added such a sweet, homey touch and made us feel even more relaxed and comfortable during our time there.
The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready to help with recommendations or directions. Casa Cavassa struck the perfect balance between comfort, character, and warm hospitality. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cusco.
We loved this place, we were treated like at home. The room was amazingly pretty. There is hot water, you just have to run it for a few minutes until it’s very hot. Carol was very attentive and friendly.
The staff was very helpful. My family of 4 became very ill upon arrival in Cusco. They were very helpful and brought us tea and soup and an oxygen tank. The suite was cold so they brought us a heater. It’s in a great location.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was under construction and fumes from paint were overwhelming. Staff was very nice and did their best to accommodate
My overall stay went well. The location is convenient. However, if you're a light sleeper it could be an issue due to the proximity to the street and the constant honking. Also, one hour prior to checkout the owner of the building knocked on my door and asked to see the balcony. Then 10 other people joined. This was beyond rude and disrespectful and an unnecessary invasion of privacy. Especially when they only had to wait 60 minutes until I checked out. I will not stay there again only because of the owner of the building.
Overall everyone was very friendly. I enjoyed how much space the room had and the location was great.
Some dislikes were the unit did not have heating or cooling. We were able to get a space heater to stay warm. The units all face a courtyard which is nice, but could get noisy. Lastly, if you want hot water you will need to let the host know ~30 minutes in advance.
Don't stay here if you would like to get any sleep. My boyfriend and I were given a room downstairs that shared a wall with the restaurant kitchen next door. The walls are paper thin so we heard banging pots & pans until 11pm when we had to get up very early for scheduled activities. There were also people coming in and out of the hotel talking very loud at all hours of the night. The main door on the street remains locked 24/7 but there is a doorbell for non-guests who are checking in etc. Drunk (I assume) people walking back from a night out would ring it all night long.
That said, the property is very cute and clean. Location is great, 5 minute walk to City Square. Staff were very friendly and accommodating despite the lack of English spoken.
I hate to give this place a negative review but I literally did not get any sleep during our three night stay and that's a pretty important part of booking a hotel.
I’m baffled by the quality of reviews for this hotel, they are incredibly misleading. This was without doubt the worst hotel I have stayed in. Our room was damp, musty and smelt. There was no window, so no way to improve matters. Issues went beyond that though, the bathroom door didn’t close, the shower curtain was an actual fabric curtain which didn’t dry (on account of the lack of ventilation) and smelled, meaning you left the shower still feeling a bit unclean. The light bulbs flickered for a couple of minutes when you first turned them on and wall fixtures fell off if you touched them. The rooms are also located around a central court yard where guests are encouraged to sit and drink coffee/tea, meaning I was woken every morning at 6am by people chatting directly outside our door. I was convinced to stay by the strength of the reviews and felt compelled to review as well to warn people off. This hotel was cheap but I would strongly encourage anyone to pay a little more elsewhere. On another note, I will say the staff were pleasant and friendly
Where to start... Location is great, very walkable and tours will pick you up from the hotel.
Hotel appears cute but is still under construction and is very noisy from around 7am-8pm, as well as dusty and had a strong aroma that can cause a headache 2 out of our 6 night stay.
Our room was downstairs and it sounded like elephants were living above us. Luckily we aren't very light sleepers though this would be a problem for some.
Staff don't speak english but you can communicate via google translate, we unfortunately became very sick 4 days into our stay so were basically bed ridden for 2 days, they tried to access our room multiple times on the first sick day even after we told them no, they were trying to unlock the door and gain access even though we were clearly in there!?
There's no option for no cleaning and I wish there was. Staff threw out paintings we had purchased from a local as they thought it was rubbish (wrapped up in a cardboard cylinder.)
Toilet had a gross smell wafting out of it randomly (prior to us becoming sick), hot water was hit and mess and bed wasn't comfortable.
They say they will take care of your laundry - I asked for this service twice and was blown off and told to go down the road.
The staff make this place worthwhile. The rooms are nice, amenities are good, plenty of hot water. But the warmth of the people really make it comfortable.
Staffs goes above and beyond. Extremely accommodating. Even checked in on me while I was sick. Just a lovely staff.
My room had a mini fridge, microwave and utensils. A block and a half from the main square. Next to restaurants, etc
This is a small hotel in a Spanish Colonial home. All the rooms open into a covered courtyard. It is in the heart of Cuzco's historic district conveniently close to shopping, restaurants, and historic sites. There is no parking, but if you have ever been to Cusco, you realize that driving in Cusco is better left to professional taxi drivers who are relatively inexpensive and understand how to drive on Cuzco's narrow crowed streets. The hotel was clean, the staff was responsive and accommodating. If I ever return to Cusco, I would definitely try to stay here.
Had the 3rd floor room… it was freezing and no hot water for a few days. Super cute place over all, everyone super nice and 2 cute kitties running around and super social. Great room, just freezing at night, no insulation. 2nd floor rooms are better.
