"Mark is a true VRBO Host. Many listings have just become corporate properties, Mark offers a real vacation rental by owner experience. We stayed at several locations during our Florida stay, and the Bonnie Vie was a highlight of our trip. We love camping and this place hit the spot perfectly. It’s not a new boat, (and was way more in our price range) but was perfect for us. Swimming right off the boat. Kayaking, the little motor boat. Such an adventure. (Make sure to ask Mark about the hidden place to explore.) Being away from land, away from the hustle of daily life, allowed us to take a breath, and reconnect with the world and each other. The sun, the fog, the breeze, the stillness. The gentle rocking of the boat. Fishes, birds. Water lapping on the sides of the Bonnie Vie. The stars. Oh my gosh the stars. Twinkle lights, lanterns, and the Comb Jellies glowing in the water were such a surprise and a real treat. Thank you Mark for the wonderful memories. "

"This stay will not offer you high end frills, as it is an older building and its location is at the start of the Keys, or much of the Florida Keys view that most people imagine. BUT the staff was excellent and accommodating, they keep the place clean, and have great recommendations when you need more than the onsite activities. I went to the Keys needing a value stay and that's what Anchorage Resort has. "

"This was our 3rd yr in a row staying at Pirates Cove. And we will be back for our 4th time in March 2027! The place is very clean & beautiful. The kayaks & 2 person Hammock were great amenities to have/use. The fishing was amazing right from our dock! "

"Overall the place is nice, food is good and location is nice. Things that could be better: The shower water pressure was next to nothing and at all hours. Parking could be an issue on busy event nights, but it did seam like they were making an effort and we had no issues. I booked the family suite and it directly faced the band stand. I was not aware that the band played at concert level loudness till 11pm (no one even in attendance and just being loud for the sake of being loud). Check the events page and if you need a toddler to sleep don’t book the building facing the water. Knowing what I know now, I would book again but at a max price per night of $250. "

"This is a great, comfortable tiny home in a small community. I liked that it wasn’t a huge neighborhood, and watching the kayakers come and go was so fun! Would recommend this spot and would stay here again myself!"

"The inside was nicely decorated and clean. Our family enjoyed the seating outside with the water view. Also the kayaks and fishing poles. The host Rebecca was very responsive and friendly. "

"Was very clean and right on the water. You can put your kayaks in right there where you are staying. Out of the way of busy town where it is quiet and peaceful. Host was very attentive to our needs. Overall wonderful stay!"
