Nice hotel though it’s in Gloucester not Cheltenham .. fab Spa facilities one of the best I’ve been to and I’ve been to many . Lockers a little tricky to lock , kept the staff busy unlocking ! Breakfast was good , we had a drink in the bar late, think they wanted to close from response I got . Our room was very good but realised when I got home I had booked a bigger family room (3beds) but got a cheaper double room . I have no hesitation to return just be careful what you book .

The grounds and the old manor hall are beautiful lots of wildlife and birds. The spa / leisure centre is also very good but is ran by a seperate company to the main hotel which why it might explain it is better ran than the main hotel. We enjoyed our stay and the room (double suite in main hall building ) was good and spacious including a/c. A few things lacking ... service can be slow at the bar, some friends tried to get flowers out in our room and hotel was very unhelpful. The rooms in the main hall are up one or two flights of stairs no lift and no porter to help with bags. There is no room service ! And the restaurant is open at limited times and limited menu . The hotel has recently been taken over from mercure and stil seems to be finding its feet but seems to being ran as a 3-star hotel on 5-star premises hopefully the new company make a go of it and can invest back in the hotel to fix these small number of gaps as it has great potential.

Beautiful hotel, everything was perfect! If I could give it 6 stars I would !
