Super 8 by Wyndham Evanston

"Starting with the good part. The sink area was newer. The air-conditioning worked great. The microwave, and fridge were newer. The bed was comfortable. The sherts and towels were fresh and clean. It ends there. The floors were buckled, peeling, and filthy. The TV remote was missing the back that holds the batteries, the smoke alarm was missing, the inside of the microwave was dirty. The bedspread had a hole burned in it. It was supposed to be a non smoking room, clearly it was not. The grout in the bathroom was black with dirt. Hand not been scrubbed in months. Trash was in the parking lot. I have stayed at this location before. I believe 4 years ago. It was nice then. I unfortunately, will not be staying at this location again."

"We would recommend this property. I would give the staff more than 5 stars if I could. Carole at the front desk was awesome, restaurant staff was also. Rooms were very clean and updated where it mattered."

"The breakfast eggs were still frozen in the fridge, and two cycles in the toaster was not enough to completely thaw. I don’t expect fresh cooked eggs, but I shouldn’t have to defrost them, or at least provide directions on the best way to warm them up."

"Very clean room. Appears they have upgraded the hotel since the last time I stayed there. The staff was scarce but did respond quickly if they had to be away from the front desk. The pool was closed for maintenance which was unfortunate based on the heat of summer. Also appreciate the rooms are accessed inside the hotel. Would stay there again!"

"The lodge was ready for us to move in. It was clean and tidy. The lodge was perfect for the 10 of us. Plenty of places to recreate inside and out. The kitchen was very adequate. Nice stove, range and microwave. Plenty of outlets for coffee, toaster, crock pots, etc. Ceiling fans kept the air cool on warm August days. The bedrooms were good sized. The small bedroom with bunk beds was perfect for our granddaughters. The bathrooms were very adequate. The bathroom with the claw tub requires a high step up. The large room upstairs with the pool table was a winner. The ping pong/basketball room also was very fun. The back deck was great for stargazing. The front porch was sooo great early in the morning rocking while sipping a cup of coffee. The Roku TV offered late night entertainment for those not quite ready for bed. The chipmunk and hummingbird watching was delightful. Overall, a really great place to stay."
