"Overall, great value, convenient location, and safe area. The airport shuttle/Lyft was such a huge help for our family that had staggered flights arriving due to weather delays. The rooms were in good condition, however, it was easy for elderly to accidentally get confused and end up on the floor under renovations. It's fine for guests without mobility issues makinf a u-turn onto the correct floor. The complimentary was OK--a great bonus. The coffee machine in the lobby was amazing! On our first days, there were people lounging outside the back of the hotel near the rennovatiom floor. They were on a swivel office chair on the parking lot hotel sidewalk for hours. I'm not sure if they were guests or people who were accessing the renovation area left unattended. Front desk staff and shuttle driver were all above excellent during every interaction. We were in town for a funeral, so every extra smile and hotel cookie was deeply apprectiated. The shuttle driver even baked/prepped the cookies! The gym was a standard on the road gym. It's great that it was open 24/7 to just go whenever others weren't there--it could get tight very easily. The free weights were a compact, combo set that is not typically seen in a lot of places. Great idea, but easily mistaken for a kid's toy until you pick it up. Happy the gym was well maintained with ample cleaning supplies. We love how guests were gathering in the lobby area tables as if it were a home away from home. "

"My children and I traveled from North Carolina to go to American dream mall Nickelodeon theme park and after a long drive and tons of fun we had the Absolute best stay here. Great service, breakfast, and my kids enjoyed the pool. Would definitely return here. I wish I knew the ladies name in the breakfast area they were great to my kids. "

"My first impression of The Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange was that it looked nice from the outside, but that quickly changed once I got to my room. As soon as I walked in, I could tell it wasn’t clean—there were stains on multiple surfaces, which was really off-putting. I also had an issue with the door. The extra safety lock didn’t work, and when I went to the front desk, I was told there basically isn’t one and that just shutting the door is enough. Maintenance was sent up, but the person didn’t have any uniform or identification, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable. He showed me how to lock it, but then when I tried to leave, the door wouldn’t unlock properly and I had to struggle with it. There was also visible mold near the ice machine, which was concerning. On top of that, the walls are extremely thin—you can hear every door opening and closing. It was loud all night, and I barely got any rest. I ended up leaving before sunrise because I just didn’t feel comfortable staying any longer. Overall, the hotel looks nice at first glance, but the experience did not match that at all."

"Hotel did smell good in general. Rooms were clean but did need some general maintenance. Our shower filled up with water as the drain was clogged and the vanity faucet was loose and our door going in and out of room was tough to open but other than that our room for money spent was worth it. Extremely quiet at night and did not hear people talking in hallways. Loved how they had room cleaned and beds made and fresh towels everyday. Most hotels we have stayed in lately do not offer that service so I was very glad to have that especially coming home late after a long day visiting New York City. Overall if in the area again I would stay again. "
