"The room was a fantastic size. We didn’t have a view at all just a wall but we didn’t spend much time at all in the room so didn’t bother us. The beds were really comfy, the bathroom was a little run down. Shower amazing though. We didn’t have a safe in our room on arrival so asked at Reception. This did arrive on our second evening but we had to carry all our valuables around for the first 2 days which wasn’t great. It’s in a great location and close to Penn Street station and Times Square. There was a fridge, microwave, iron and hairdryer. We also asked for fresh towels and this wasn’t a problem at all. The cleanliness and location sell it for us "

"The place is an average stay like a motel 6. Like when you visit Vegas, it’s a good place to sleep but you don’t spend much time there so not having a ton of amenities isn’t a big deal. It feels like you are paying for more but you have to remember that this place is in Chelsea, central to everything, that is what you are paying for. There are multiple subway entrances on the corner right outside the hotel. The owners could and should do a few minor upgrades to make your stay more pleasant. Replace the 19070’s windows with ones that are more energy efficient and sound proof. Patrons, if light sleepers, should bring ear plugs. If you stay in a street facing room you will be bombarded with sirens, screaming, and loud music from the street vendor all night long. Another review commented about the electrical plugs. And I wholeheartedly agreed. It’s a cheap and simple upgrade. It is a vital necessity in the technology age, especially for travels, to be able to charge devices in a reliable manner. The only plug in our room that functioned was the power strip someone installed behind the desk. No USB/C/iPone ports anywhere. Breakfast is muffins and bagels, only, and they are both very good. There is no toaster to toast the bagel but I think that is more of a function of eating them NYC style than a lack of customer service on the part of the hotel staff. However, a toaster costs very little and could potentially make so many happy. The coffee is very, very bad. "

"I asked multiple members of staff we had no hot running water in our room, they said they would get someone up to the room so we waited for them for hours - no one’s came and we then asked 2 other times and called down and no nobody came to fix it. "

"Excellent service. Top notch front desk service, best cleaning services, the most comfortable beds and pillows, hot showers and fresh towels daily. Delicious and filling breakfast was provided early with hot coffee, juice, and sweets to your liking- The hotel is smartly situated just a block from midtown energy, two blocks from the trains and buses, and several blocks from 42nd off Broadway. Shopping and numerous restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. The only downside were the exceedingly long waits for the elevator that we often walked down to the lobby or breakfast. Overall, my granddaughter and I had a positive experience at Hampton Inn. "
