Locked out for an hour, locked in for even longer
On arrival the lock box for my room was empty, the cleaner was still there. 40 minutes after check in opened the cleaner gave me my keys and left. Turns out those werent the keys, they were the keys for the other unit. I was now sat on the doorstep on the phone to management whilst they tried to locate keys.
Eventually over an hour after checkin was open they told me to use the keys and use the other unit.
The unit is nicely decorated and was clean but there are no opening windows in the property. I didnt think much of this until the next morning when the lock malfunctioned and I was locked into the property. It took over an hour for them to get me out - I then had to wait in because they needed to borrow my keys to yet a spare set cut as I had the only set and with no other way into the property they saw this as unsafe.
Then 10pm they come over to change the lock on the other unit, which wasnt a quiet process so I was unable to sleep.
And again they arrived in the morning to continue yet more work.
It was stressful and definitely not relaxing.
They don't offer any compensation for the inconvenience, but thankfully Hotels.com did.
