Top Dingles Fairground Heritage Centre Hotel Reviews
Lifton Hall
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at Lifton Hall Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and their warm service made our visit feel very special. The team were professional, attentive, and always happy to help with a smile. A lovely hotel with fantastic hospitality"
The Arundell
8/10 Good
"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. If you're on vacation here, the hotel is where you go to call it a night and relax. Knowing all this, I would definitely keep this place in mind the next time I do a Southwest holiday."
Bluebell Lodge, 29 Roadford Lake Lodges
8/10 Good
"The property is welcoming. It was generally clean although kitchen cupboards, door handles and fridge hadn’t been wiped so I did have to wipe these down before using and the cutlery draw was full of crumbs so I felt everything had to go through the dishwasher before use. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Very comfortable and very well equipped. There was everything we needed and very well laid out. Nice and quiet. The location is good as you are on the border to Cornwall. We booked some kayaking on the lake at the activity centre. Just be advised It’s a 45 minute/hour walk from the lodge or a 5 minute drive. I was on the understanding it was closer to the lodge than that. If you have a dog the back garden is not enclosed however it was a nice little area with table and chairs. The hot tub is a little overlooked. There was nothing no staff on site but contact numbers are given for the duration of your stay. Despite the few negatives I would stay again and recommend"
Frankaborough Farm Holiday Cottages
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely charming place, lovely family run business, super welcoming, friendly, greeted by dogs, ducks and cows. Stunning peaceful location, just what I needed."
Stowford Linhay - E3138
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely cottage with everything you could want, ideally positioned for getting out and about. Quiet & peaceful a lovely garden & patio and fantastic field for dog-walking. Paul gave us a warm welcome and a tour of everything - the cream tea was a nice touch. Would highly recommend, and hope to go back."
Tinhay Mill Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful little B&B, Suzanne was so helpful, great breakfast with plenty of choice. Stevens paintings are amazing, please look out for them in the breakfast room. Would highly recommend"
Periwinkle Lodge, 3 Roadford Lake Lodges
10/10 Excellent
"Everything you could wish for in a midweek break, the hot tub was brilliant. Great value for money.."
Lavender Lodge, 8 Roadford Lake Lodges
8/10 Good
"So when we arrived everything looked clean and tidy, the lodge was very spacious and we enjoyed the out door space too. I feel the beds were slightly uncomfortable and could of done with a better mattress, I Slept and my party slept uneasy throughout the week. There was plenty of facilities in the Lodge which made everything easy to do each day. We enjoyed our stay but the only complain we have was the heating system, we had it set but the heating came on when it wanted to and some days did not come on at all, the last day came on full blast so it did work, this made the stay uncomfortable at times as the lodge was big and it was hard to keep warm, may need a plumber to check this out. Apart from that it was a relaxing stay and we really enjoyed it, the actual park and lakes was amazing, local places of interest close by, thank you."
The Cabin in Lifton With 1 Bedrooms and 1 Bathrooms
8/10 Good
"Cute little cabin in a quite pretty location. Basic, but worth the money if you want a value for money private accommodation. My only comments (not complaint as these things don’t bother me). It was cold when I got there, it would have been nice if the heating could have been put on before arrival. The floor is freezing - bring slippers. The shower had a bit of a mind of its own and was either cold or red hot! It was cleanish but not perfect. And the tea tasted awful (not sure if water or kettle so I avoided this. Overall a nice place to stay, some small tweaks would make it perfect. "
