"Very nice hotel located in a quiet and idyllic village. Easy to reach by car, bike or even public transport (bus stop right behind the corner). In the village itself there are not many services - no proper restaurants outside of the hotel and only a little shop in the center. However this was perfect for us and in any case bigger town nearby can be reached very quickly by car. "We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! We mainly wanted to explore Mount Titlis and this hotel is a 10 minute walk from there. The hotel has really beautiful views of the mountains. The restaurant and breakfast they have was also quite good! The hotel also has a lot of restaurants and bars around. The are also plenty of shops around.
Caroline helped us out a lot during our stay and if it wasn’t for her, we would have a much more difficult time during our stay! "

"Stayed for 4 nights from Indianapolis. Very convenient location. Kitchen well kept and clean. You can get coffee for a small fee from the app of the hotel. Requested extra towels which were promptly delivered. Engelberg was the best decision to stay, away from the crowds. If looking for beautiful Alps experience, this place is it. Fridges for each room conveniently marked.
Just wish toiletries were provided too.
Also a suggestion for owner to put signs “watch your step” there are lots of little steps everywhere that are not visible and I had a could be fatal fall.
But this is a great concept and no hassle check in and check out. I was a little hesitant first of self check in but the ease of app makes it a breeze. "
