Since then, we begged vrbo and owner to pay us back, even in part. No help. Our money, more than 2000, was practically stolen. "

"The place was not private. The owner was in the second bedroom. There was no blanket on the bed. It was minus 15 degrees Celsius outside. It’s Winnipeg!!! There were air freshener plug-ins in every room. It reeked chemical perfume. Why were they necessary? Mattress was grossly soiled. "

"We weren't told in advance that it was a basement apartment. There was very noisy thumping every day from the apartment overhead. The keypad was fussy and sometimes it took us a few minutes before we could open the door. I would not stay there again."

"Property was clean, modern, and well appointed. Central location, 5 min walk to grocery store, ~ 30 min walk to The Forks. Nice bistro nearby. On a busy street but noise wasn't bad. Only downside was the climb up 36 stairs to reach the unit! "
