"We absolutely loved the location of this property!! It is isolated, surrounded by the ocean inlets. Be prepared for the narrow roads and the one lane dirt road that brings you out on the island. It is not modern, but we were not looking for modern. We had everything we needed for our 6 day stay and enjoyed it immensely."

"Views to die for! They bring me back year after year. There is space and comfort in this house. I like the isolation but you need to know that you have to drive to a shop or restaurant. I do miss the access to the garden and sea, now a bit overgrown."

"Our family stayed at this lovely home for a few nights during our 2 week holiday to Ireland. The cottage is quaint with it's traditional decor and lovely homey feel. Check in was a breeze and communication with the owner was great. The real clincher and the reason we will most certainly be back is the gardens around the property and the VIEW. Incredible. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy it! Thank you for hosting us!"

It’s a tight road up to the property for those of you used to wider roads. Please check the items guests need to comply with checkout requirements. "Everything was perfect for us to enjoy the area and drive into clifden for restaurants and pubs for traditional Irish music. The road is a bit narrow towards the house the last bit but we did it slowly. We also enjoyed great meals at the nearby Connemara sands hotel just near the house."

"Sandy heels was the perfect place for my short break. Very well equipped with a nice comfy bed and cosy lounge.
