This is our second year back at Live Aqua Punta Cana! Book the trip! We had a swim up suit (pool facing). The food, service, amenities, and activities are great. The resort is cozy and walkable. You can always find a pool to enjoy. The quiet pools are stunning and always have seating. We’ll be returning for sure.

The property was okay, overall. We loved the Asian restaurant. The buffet was decent. The pool snack bar had the exact same items everyday. Other resorts offer a variety each day. The daytime / pool entertainment was lacking. The pool view of the ocean was limited...too far to get a good visual. The swim up bar pool DJ doesn't arrive until 4pm each day while the pool closes at 6:00pm. The just play mediocre background island music from 10am-4pm. Very boring! The staff interaction for fun activities isn't minimal. The bathroom sliding door for the toilet was broken and they poorly trying to screw it back...looked bad. The bathroom faucet handle was broken. There was a sewer smell off and on in the bath area, which is right next to the bed. Overall, I won't be back! Other Riu properties in different destinations were much better!
