"Hotel manager was exceptionally helpful, kind and hospitable. We trully enjouyed our time in Melchior and with Mr. Manager"

"Lovely helpful staff team. Large charming room. Great quiet location. "

"Lovely hosts with great local recommendations. Went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed . Spent a full day relaxing by the pool during a heat wave. Easy access to St Emilion. Comes with a bonus friendly fat chateau cat on the grounds."

"This property is a little gem. Immaculate, quiet, comfortable and the hosts are superb. Highly recommend that anyone visiting local vineyards book a stay. "

"A great stay with a great host. Very relaxing environment with a cool family story. Breakfast is yummy. A short drive away to St Emillion. Highly recommend."

"Superb host😆 very friendly and helpful, beautiful place, rooms are massive and beautiful, will be coming back!!!"

"Nice and clean and easy to explore St Emilion nearby."

"The manager/owner was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and just right for our overnight stay. The restaurant downstairs was great, lovely food, good wine and reasonably priced. I would definitely return and recommend this little hotel. "

"We had agreat time at The Chateu, the staff was very attentive, the place was clean, our room was big and confortable . I recommended 100%."

"As soon as we arrived we were disappointed. The door was locked and we had to wait with our luggage all day until 4 pm. No one in site. The room was good. We rented a car and had to park it outside up the road leading in to St Emilion. Breakfast basic . The owner said we could only come to eat at 9 am ... We overstayed our time in St Emillion...5 nights. I would recommend no more than 2.."

"It was an absolute delight to stay with Nathalie and Olivier who have lovingly restored the Chateau. They were charming hosts and made the stay one to remember. The renovation of the chateau provides a modern and spacious room that has also retained the charm of the old building. The meals were delightful and prepared by the hosts using fresh local produce. I'd thoroughly recommend Malis Castera to anyone wanting to stay in the wine region."

"Dominique and Laura are wonderful hosts. We travel extensively, and this was one of our favorite places to stay! The location is peaceful and serene. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a highlight of the stay . . . delicious and homemade. The home is about 15 minutes from Saint Emilion and near several wineries. I highly recommend staying with Dominique and Laura!"

"Lovely hostess, nothing was too much trouble, lovely breakfast, good location"

"The host was very caring, the room was amazing, delicious breakfast."

"best hotel ever"

"A really charming place to stay, with a welcoming host, and comfortable room with stunning country views. The breakfasts were generous and delicious, with lovely homemade touches - all made even better by taking place in the beautiful courtyard. We stayed for 4 nights but would have loved to stay longer."

"Its location is brilliant. Make sure you get directions from the hotel directly before you arrive. I would stay again"

"The location was beautiful and the rooms carefully curated. Lovely atmosphere and had an absolutely delightful breakfast. Nice tour of facility and taste of their wines. Overall, great experience!"
