7.8/10 Good! (315 reviews)
Arrived at this beautiful hotel and greeted by Anna one of the brilliant members of staff and as we were early we enjoyed a drink and a lovely meal before being shown to our room. The whole place has a pleasant warming atmosphere and wonderful choice of drinks and superb food. Service is excellent and everyone is so happy. We came to Chepstow to visit the castle and stayed one night here. Never stopped raining for a minute so we decided to enjoy the food and drink on offer and were not disappointed. You could watch the football od sit at the bar, however we decided to sit in a cosy room where I had chilli and my good lady had jacket potato. Food here is excellent and we did go for a wonder through town. Chepstow has a lot of restaurants and pubs??? They were all great but we definitely hit the jackpot in the Beaufort hotel. The room was just what we wanted and the hotel is not new, it’s a wonderful place full of characters and charm. Don’t come with expectations just arrive and let the place envelop you and you will have a great time just as we have.
Thank you to all the team especially Anna and see you all soon we will return

Nothing much to complain about the property. Car park is 5 mins walk away.
Bar was good and staff there was friendly, however at the reception whether it was night or day time do not think they wanted to be there. No smiles, no welcoming.. pretty poor really

"Overall excellent stay at Apex. Only negative being we had booked 2 rooms with 2 twin beds. Booked and paid for in advance. Upon checkin one room did not have the twin beds setup. It took over an hour to get someone to come to the room. Then another 30mins for them do actually change the setup and ..."
