"This property is perched at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking the Atlantic and some of the Irish seacoast. There are lots of windows to enjoy the views. Cosy south facing sunny cottage Ballylickey, Bantry - on the Wild Atlantic Way
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (73)
"As a VRBO Host and an owner of a guest house I can sometimes have my expectations not met. I had the pleasure of staying for 3 weeks at the cottage. its well equipped with anything you might need for a relaxing holiday. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, fireplace, salon and a real working kitchen with most everything you need. close enough to the pub and food shop but far enough away to feel isolated. It a real Irish home with out the bells and whistles you might get at a more modern/commercial property....

"Beautiful home with ample room for two families. We were greeted by the host who took the time to show us around and followed up with us to make sure all was going well. She provided us with milk, cream, coffee and tea which was much appreciated. It is newly remodeled, each room was lovely and well kept. There is outdoor furniture and the lawn rolls down to the sea. We would highly recommend."

"The property is simply wonderful on every level, with every conceivable holiday requirement fully catered for. It is in a beautiful location, albeit slightly remote, but with the hosts, John and Deirdre living next door at the farm. We are a suburban couple but our experience at this house is one we will both treasure forever ! The Wow factor on walking in through the front door remains throughout the stay. "The Brown Hen was the highlight of our Ireland visit. The house is charming and fully equipped, well-suited to our party of 2. Gwyneth made us feel welcome and guided us to sightseeing we would have overlooked - Beara Peninsula and Mizen Head were highlights! The location is perfect for exploring southwest Ireland and was a haven after each day's drive. The Brown Hen has a relaxing sense of isolation while the town and its services are a short drive away. The accommodation is lovely but it is...
