Rathmore House
3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (56)
"The breakfast was very nice. Very nice views. Free parking. We booked a 'double room, 1 double bed' and were given 2 single beds. The room was VERY cold as the heating was only on very low. The bathroom was even colder as there was no heating at all. There were electric blankets on the beds which helped a little but we didn't sleep very well. The room was rather dated and could do with being modernised. The soundproofing isn't great. The water in our jug in our room didn't look very...

"Marion, our host, could not have been more helpful or welcoming. It genuinely felt as if we were family friends staying with her. We arrived really late after a delayed ferry and she was very accommodating and helpful in every way. Our room was clean and comfortable with a really beautiful view. Breakfast was outstanding; great choice, all local produce and freshly prepared. The home made scones were a standout and Marion most generously gave us some to take with us for lunch. Very highly...

"This property is perched at the end of a cul-de-sac overlooking the Atlantic and some of the Irish seacoast. There are lots of windows to enjoy the views. Cosy south facing sunny cottage Ballylickey, Bantry - on the Wild Atlantic Way
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (73)
"As a VRBO Host and an owner of a guest house I can sometimes have my expectations not met. I had the pleasure of staying for 3 weeks at the cottage. its well equipped with anything you might need for a relaxing holiday. 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, fireplace, salon and a real working kitchen with most everything you need. close enough to the pub and food shop but far enough away to feel isolated. It a real Irish home with out the bells and whistles you might get at a more modern/commercial property....
