Top Drinagh Hotel Reviews

Clonakilty Park Hotel

Clonakilty Park Hotel

8/10 Good
"Very pleasant lady on reception who allowed us to check in a little early. Large room with a fridge (always a good find these days!). Quite warm in the room but slept fine. One of our windows had condensation between the double glassing. Shallow bath but useable. Table and chairs, tea and coffee and television. Easy parking and about two-three minutes drive to town (where we had a great pizza). Very children friendly. Restaurant on site and leisure centre."

Frequently asked questions

What should I expect on my historical trip to Drinagh?
Sights with historical relevance in Drinagh are likely at the top of your travel itinerary. And while you're visiting the area, why not also enjoy all of the sights in the area?
What are the most important historical sites and other places in Drinagh?
Places to visit in the wider area include Drombeg Stone Circle, Owenahincha Beach and Liss Ard Gardens. You'll also find Skibbereen and West Carbery Golf Club and West Cork Model Railway Village in the area.
What is a historic hotel like in Drinagh?
A historic hotel gives guests an opportunity to stay in a building that has been recognised with a national historic designation. Historic hotels throughout the world come in all forms like palaces, castles, stately homes or even lodges, pubs or skyscrapers — any place of special interest. These types of hotels in Drinagh often preserve original elements like traditional architecture and period features in guestrooms or communal spaces.
What is the difference between a historic hotel and a heritage hotel?
The two are similar. The term "historic hotel" is more common in the U.S., whereas "heritage hotel" is common in Asia and Europe. Historic hotels tend to put more importance on the physical building and architecture. A heritage hotel draws meaning mainly from the cultural value that the place has and how it inspired the surrounding community.
Do historic hotels in Drinagh have modern facilities?
Yes, every effort is made to preserve treasured traditions and historic facades, while interiors have safety features and modern conveniences. Visitors should expect the popular amenities from a contemporary hotel such as private rooms with updated bathroom facilities, heating and air conditioning, and free and fast Internet. When you book a historic hotel in Drinagh, it doesn't mean you will stay in a place that's uncomfortable for guests or simply rundown.
