"Everything about our stay was outstanding. Service was impeccable. Our room was very large and clean, complimentary snacks were much appreciated. The bathroom was clean - perhaps a bit tight on space - but travel amenities were thoughtfully selected and useful (L’Occtaine products). Hotel location is excellant. Note: you are very close to the Jonker Night Market, so if you need absolute quiet for a good night sleep, this may be a factor for you to consider. Breakfast was perhaps the only place where I felt things were not on the same standard as the rest of the hotel, don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely adequate and service was excellant. I did enjoy the roti canal and the latte that I ordered, but my husband’s french toast was lack luster and the other offering were average. Overall however, this hotel has restored my faith in Malaysian hotels, simply outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend it. "

"This charming hotel in the heart of Chinatown launches you back in history with its period furniture and ambience. Its location is close to the Jonker Street Night Market on the weekends and is within walking distance of many of the major tourist attractions and areas. If you arrive on the weekend, you may need to take a taxi with a driver who knows how to avoid the road closures; Grab would not accept rides. The breakfast buffet is ample with a mix of Asian and Western options. We opted to use the spa, which was a relaxing and pleasurable experience. The facilities are well kept, combining modern and historic. They could improve their commitment to environmental sustainability, such as offering water dispensers and refillable toiletry dispensers instead of using plastic bottles. The hotel did receive a bus load of mainland Chinese tourists, who were quite loud in the hallways and breakfast area. Although this is not the fault of the hotel staff, if they could have emphasized speaking softly and minimizing the noise level for the courtesy of all guests, it may have helped. "

"Hotel is lovely. Up to standard, but front staff need better English skills. It was a guess that they understood what you wanted. Very friendly with it. Biggest problem is the traffic noise from loud motorbikes well into the night as they race around the roads out front of the hotel. If you want to sleep before 2am ask for a room away from the front street."
