So good we will come back
This was our very first visit to Croatia and Dubrovnik and we had no idea what we would find. It was recommended by our son who only saw it as a cruise ship passenger. From the very start we were highly impressed with everyone we met and especially the welcome they gave us and the fact that so many spoke good English. My wife chose the apartment and we spent a lot of time researching the area before we went. We had two concerns. Firstly where was the nearest shop and secondly where were the restaurants. The first one was quickly solved when we saw what turned out to be an amazing small supermarket only 40 yards away.
We met Petra ( daughter of the family) when we arrived and she showed us round the apartment and spent some time explaining not only the apartment but also key things like restaurants and the amazing bus service.
The apartment met all our needs. It was clean, well furnished and with an amazing balcony. You had a great view of the of the port and the constant but virtually silent ( from our position) comings and goings.
As first time visitors we had many questions and Petra answered them all.
The key point is that we would return and would definitely stay again at this apartment. As to restaurants Petra suggested two. The first in the nearby Orsan yacht club was our favourite and we went three times. Local beaches are an easy walk and the main resort centre with its many restaurants not too far.
