8.2/10 Very good! (105 reviews)
I stayed in Room1 . Please be aware this is right next to a very noisy restaurant extractor fan which only is turned of at 9pm (was 10pm on the second night). It is noisy even with the windows closed. Also there is no cooked breakfast until after 9am so to late if you are on business travel. I was offered a different room but this was next to the road and you could hear the music the hotel plays outside the property for some reason. I would not stay again.

8.6/10 Excellent! (1,698 reviews)
Staff behaved as if guests were an inconvenience. As if they were surprised and rather irritated to be busy/fully booked when a major event was taking place at the NEC nearby. Sauna not working, no towels in the leisure club, staff member on duty in the leisure club very rude - openly slagging guests off. Reception staff made check in unnecessarily complicated and stressful. Breakfast was fine and the bed was comfortable, EV charging also seamless. But other than that, really disappointing. Would not stay here again.

"Wonderful place. The decorations are are stunning, the detail, the food, the rooms as well. The ammenities as well are excellent - the Penhaligon soap and lotion, etc. all top quality. The grounds are also something from a postcard, with sheep a small lake, hills and paths."

"Room was airy and clean. Shower was dated and water wasn’t very hot. Upon arrival was a wedding but it was chaos in reception as they were all at the bar and surrounding areas and no one could hear themselves speak at check in. Same in the evening, if you weren’t part of the wedding party you had ..."
