"We were absolutely delighted to arrive at this little slice of heaven after a week in Dublin. The peaceful estate was like something out of a dream and the gate house was perfect for us. We can't wait to return with our children. It is a perfect getaway for a family of 3 or 4. The house had all the amenities to cook. House was clean and better than advertised. "

"We stayed for 2 wonderful off grid weeks at this charming cottage. Eileen was a wonderful host. I was amazed at how responsive she was during the planning especially since there was such a time difference in our locations. My husband has some mobility issues, and Eileen answered all our questions to make sure that we were going to be comfortable. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed plus more for our extended stay. We had safety vests for walking, a Tesco grocery tag and reusable grocery bags for grocery shopping. A resource binder with touring information was especially helpful because at the time of our stay the regional internet provider was still disrupted due to the storms earlier in the year. If staying in a charming cottage in a peaceful setting in the beautiful Irish countryside has any appeal then staying at Eileen's cottage will be a dream fulfilled. "

"After our experience at the last cottage, which was less than welcoming (guest instructions posted like confetti around whole house), cluttered, and unclean, we weren't sure what to expect.We weren’t disappointed! Seán allowed us to check in early and met us at their cottage to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We couldn't have asked for more!The cottage was spotlessly clean and had some basic supplies (tea, sugar, etc.). We took advantage of Suzi's cooking and generosity by ordering her soda bread and a cottage pie for two which would easily feed four and all for a very reasonable 25...thank you, Suzi We humans soon made friends with the resident cats, who thankfully were very dog savvy moggies, although our dogs were less entranced Would we recommend? Undoubtably!Would we come again? Absolutely!"

"Our large group of family and friends stayed here for a week and enjoyed the beautiful Drawing Room for morning coffee, cocktail hour and nightcaps (made extra cozy by the fireplace). During the day we enjoyed the nearby lanes and paths that wander through the green and tranquil countryside. There are a lot of attractive and large rooms that are perfect for a large group, but bathrooms (and hot water availability) need updating (some toilet seats were falling off). That said, we'd go back. The only other downside is that it's only convenient to Cong and Ashford Castle. So plan to drive a lot if you'd like to visit other areas/sites. The remoteness was both a plus and minus. The caterer made what we all agreed was the best fish and chips we'd ever had, so plan for at least one meal by them. And you can avoid a drive back to the house after dinner! "
