"Adorable chalet! Staff were all friendly and helpful. Absolutely stunning views, excellent food at Locanda Alla Posta as well. The drive up to the property is winding and steep, but worth it. Lots of beautiful nature to explore nearby as well."

"We had a wonderful stay in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana! The house is peacefully located with stunning mountain views, yet only a short drive from town, which has everything you need in terms of restaurants and shops. You can even start hikes directly from the property. The house was clean and spacious, and having private bathrooms in 4 out of 5 bedrooms was a huge bonus. We loved relaxing on the shaded terrace, but the highlight was definitely the pool, which both kids and adults enjoyed every day. The large garden also provided plenty of space for lawn games. It was the perfect base for day trips to Lucca, Cinque Terre, and Canyon Park. Highly recommended!"

"Super schön gelegen in wunderschönen alten Gemäuer. Wir haben die Urlaubstage dort toll verbracht. Gibt nicht zu beanstanden. Alles was man braucht ist da und ausreichend da. Schöne Terrasse tolle Zimmer. Nur das Bad mit der Badewanne könnte mal nen neuen duschkopf und nen neuen wasserabweisenden Anstrich vertragendIst eine schöne Ausgangslage um die Gegend in die Städte zu erkunden. Mit 30-90 Minuten Fahrzeit ist immer zu rechnen. Zum einkaufen entweder in den Ort oder in die andere Richtung zum Superstore. Beides gut 10min. Wenn es etwas zu beanstanden gibt das keine normale Kaffeemaschine vorhanden war. Wir haben uns dann einfach einen typisch italienischen gekocht. Und dass sich die Folie vom Boden des Pools leicht gelöst hat"

"The house and grounds are lovely, as is the surrounding area. The pool was wonderful, especially since we were there during a heatwave. There is no air conditioning, but there were fans, and opening the windows at night made it easy to sleep. It was an easy walk into the village of Pieve Fosciana which has bakeries, a grocer, a butcher, a gelateria, 2 bars and a nice restaurant. There are also several good supermarkets a short drive away, but it was nice to do local shopping in the village much of the time. The owner Flaviano is a lovely and generous person, as are his parents. He prepared a pizza night for us that was really a feast, with at least 5 different types of pizzas. He also brought us homemade prosecco, fresh baked bread and focaccia during the week. We were a family of 14 adults and 2 babies, so we were split into 4 apartments. Having a property divided into multiple apartments wasn’t ideal for us, but we made the compromise since we liked everything else about the place. There was limited space for all of us to hang out together indoors. Fortunately, outside there is a large covered dining table that we used, and other outside chairs. Also the main group kitchen is actually quite small for more than one or two people to prepare food, and has limited space to store food and other pantry products. But we made it work."
