Hello William! Thank you for your review. I apologize that you had difficulty finding our staff. Usually there is always someone in the office. As far as a pet policy, we agree with you. We have a no pet policy, however we have a few long time guests who have pets "grandfathered". Thank you for your review! Rooms 9 & 10 do offer amazing views of the White Mountains. Room 14 (The Frost Suite) offers this view as well but with an entire wall of windows! You may enjoy this room for your next stay because it is a little quieter.

Dear Anonymous, If you are who I think you are, I was waiting to hear from you. Yes, we did charge you more than was quoted by Expedia. The reason being that you booked a room with 2 adults. When you arrived we noticed that there were 5 pairs of skis on your SUV. We inquired if the booking was for 2 adults are you confirmed there were 2 adults. When you were checking in we noticed you exit the vehicle with 2 additional children and a pet. My manger contacted you to confirm there were actually 2 adults, 2 children and a pet. You confirmed this. When you were notified that there will be an additional charge you agreed to the pet charge but refused to pay for the children. My manager explained that the extra charge is to cover linens as well as the full country breakfast that is included with the room charge. You stated "if you don't charge me I'll give you a good review". We interpreted that as a threat and but said we would need to charge them for breakfast. You then stated "the children don't need breakfast". OK, so we gave up and stated we will not charge the extra. Then suddenly the next morning in come all 4 of the family for breakfast. Sitting a table set for 2 everyone orders muffins and juice. My server is somewhat intimidated so she goes about her job professionally even though she is aware that we have decided the kids are not included in the meal plan. You then order 2 full breakfast and ask the server for additional plates to serve the kids. OK, I give up and just charge the room for muffins and juice. This occurs both mornings and yes you get a nominal charge for the muffins and juice. We were more than accommodating relative to your extortion tactics and are glad to hear you will not be returning. Finally, if you were to have perused our website before looking for the lowest price room in the valley you would have seen that yes, we do not cater to kids. We a small country with a quiet intimate dining room that caters to couples escaping for a romantic weekend.

Our restaurant is open Wednesday-Saturday from 4:30 on. We have everything from Max's Burger, lobster rolls, to fresh Maine Coast fish. We also serve a cooked to order breakfast each morning that is part of your stay. We have "country wifi", DSL,that enables you to use your ipad and iphone.
