"Understaffed in The dining area. One person trying to seat patrons, clean tables, and restock food. Too much for one person and I believe cleanliness suffers along with attentiveness. Impossible task for one person"

"Hotel is victorian and has a lot of character, some parts need a little updating. However staff were friendly and helpful, check-in was good. Room was spacious and clean, we had a great night's sleep but didn't opt for breakfast."

"Lovely hotel and staff were first class. I would rate a 5*, but for two things: -No air conditioning in the bedrooms in the main hotel. I believe this is planned at some stage. - we had the snug room on the top floor. Lovely room and big bathroom. But it had 4 velux windows and so no view. Not a major problem as we only stayed for a short 2 night break. However the real problem was at night, when heavy rain made us feel we were in a drum. So sleep deprived both nights. It is worth paying a bit more for a room on the first or second floors. Martin Hill"
