The owners were friendly and very accommodating - providing recommendations for dinner and things to do. Fantastic concierge service: Needed to book a bus to Donostia/StSeb for the day but had trouble with the Avanza website (and my poor Spanish) - Virginia set me up the day before with instructions on where to find the bus.

Hotel location worked out perfectly for me. Close enough to walk to Guggenheim, museum, Old Town, but not so close to tourist sites that prices are high. Many cafes, grocery stores, and other useful services right in the neighbourhood. Not knowing Bilbao when I booked, this ended up being the perfect location for me to explore the town and avoid most of the tourist congestion. Would definitely choose to stay here again. Only caution is that it’s near the football stadium, so if there’s a match on it can get very busy (and noisy) in the area."
