"We were looking for a relaxing getaway. This Shawnee Cottage was perfect!! It is private clean comfortable in the woods with amazing rock formations in the backyard. Plus it has a screened in porch and clean private hot tub! Close to Ferne Clyff St Park and Lake of Egypt. I would recommend it to couples looking for peace and quiet and being in nature. We hope to make it back!"

"The place was terrific. Be aware there is only one bathroom but it has a large shower and is very functional. The host was amazing and super accessible. My boys actually broke one of the knobs on the hot tub and she was very understanding. Would highly recommend this house. The pond and the outdoor area was great. They even cut a path on the hillside below the house that loops around down to the woods. The kids loved running around that loop. Great get away for families!"

"Very rustic but lots of amenities. We had a problem checking in but Jack was able to help us out despite it being 10pm. The dogs on the property were very friendly and met our dogs. Fairly priced. However, the bed is incredibly old and the bedframe is rickety, making it impossible to get comfortable. Everything else was great!"
