Spacious clean apartment
The communication between the host and ourselves was excellent. I was a little nervous about the place when I entered the building because it seemed rundown but don’t let the entrance deceive you. This apartment was lovely, clean and well taken care of with pride.

Great location for a walking trip to Edinburg
Smooth booking, complete info just prior to arrival. Access to the property was smooth and as described. Clean, simple apartment with solid basic amenities. Being tall people, a bigger bed would have been ideal. Appreciated the coffee and laundry with the kitchen supplies. In summary, accurate description and photos. Do recommend!

Amazing location and super clean updated apartment
This updated apartment was exactly as listed. Super clean which is very important to us. The location is even better than you can imagine. Close to Royal Mile and if you like to run and hike this is the location for you with Holyrood park at your door. We highly recommend this apartment.

Loved our stay
The property is exactly as shown - while quite small it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. A perfect location for Holyrood and Arthur's Seat which we really enjoyed and found very beautiful. Approximately 10-15 minute walk to the Royal Mile and 20-25 minutes to Waverley station. Buses travel near the apartment but we never took them. Many thanks to Ben and Ollie for their fast and attentive responses at all times. We miss Edinburgh and our home away from home already!

Excellent apartment in a quiet neighborhood
Ben’s place is well situated for an easy walk to the train station and Edinburgh sights. He responded immediately to questions I had. Neighbors are friendly as well. Clean and comfortable place. Recommended!

Lovely Apartment
For some reason we were actually expecting an efficiency apartment so were pleasantly surprised to find it was a one bedroom (so much larger than expected). It was beautifully designed and cozy. I wish those responsible for the exterior maintenance would take half as much care. I would tell anyone not to be put off by the entrance foyer and stairwell. They are dank and dark but the apartment was perfect. The area was also very nicely located. We were originally supposed to stay for 3 nights but only got to enjoy two due to a fiasco with the airline getting us to Scotland. We stayed one night then joined a tour group to travel all over Scotland. Everyone on the tour asked where we were staying in the city and they were all envious of our location. It truly is near everything. The owner was response and courteous. I would highly recommend this place and would consider staying there again if I'm ever back in the UK.

This is incorrect. Our property is clearly advertised as suitable for 2 people. We tried to accommodate the unexpectedly large group by providing extra linen and towels and making the sofa bed available.

Delightful Location
The flat is spacious and well-appointed. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom, though tiny, has everything we needed. The kitchen was well-stocked and very clean. We were happy with the location and walkability to the Royal Mile and to Sainsbury’s, too.

Nice appartment in Old Town Edinburgh
We enjoyed are stay here. The simplicity and clean modern look was to our liking and a nice surprise to the overall building. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. The bathroom, though small had a great shower. This set up works well for a couple traveling and not wanting to eat out all of the time. Of course the location to Holyrood park and the Royal mile couldn't have been better. Easy walking and bus transport also a plus. All of the directions and communication with the host was excellent and timely.

Lovely little flat in great location
This flat is located steps away from Holyrood Palace and Arthur’s Seat, with Holyrood Park at the end of the street. The apartment itself is clean and modern, the kitchen is equipped with everything you would need for a few days’ stay. The shower is nice too, just wish the sink was a bit larger! The street is quiet despite its location in the city.

Apartment with Everything You Need in an Excellent Location for Edinburgh!
We were exceptionally happy with this apartment. It was such a treat to be just steps from Holyrood Park, and everything else in wonderful Edinburgh was within easy walking distance. The apartment itself had everything we needed for a comfortable, five day stay; the owners (Ben and his brother) have put much thought and care into providing for their guests, and the binder-full of local info is very comprehensive--we wish we could have fit in all of the recommendations, but we did our best! For such a centrally-located place, the street is surprisingly quiet--very peaceful at night. We would love to return again--thank you!!

I really enjoyed my 5 day stay here , Ben was great! He was very attentive and in Contact before and after check in, the loft was clean and warm, and comfortable. High end linens, and fully stocked kitchen. Really loved it, and I am already recommending to anyone who asks !

Quiet and Great Location
Glad we chose Ben and Oliver’s flat behind the Palace to spend 9 days in Edinburgh. The flat was extra quiet, double bed comfortable, and owner-brothers stayed in contact before and after our arrival. A Sainsbury grocery store was within walking distance. Two tweaks I’d suggest: add a couple of luggage racks (there’s no chest of drawers) and hooks behind the bathroom door for robes, cosmetic and shaving cases. The heated towel bar was a treat.

Lovely Bijou Flat
We really enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh. The flat is clean and nicely decorated. The location feels safe and the at first floor level, secure. The kitchen is practical and well equipped. Discovering Holyrood park at the end of the street was a great surprise - a scenic route into town. We hope to stay in the flat again if we return to Edinburgh.

Lovely well equipped cozy centrally placed apartment
Located just by Holyrood Park this apartment is well equipped for 3 people and was really cozy and comfortable. From here we walked to lots of Edinburgh's sights and also took the bus to Leith and the train to St. Andrews. Although the weather was very cold we had bright blue skies for the majority of our time here which was great for photography. Recommended.

Great location, great apartment
The apartment was clean, cute, and well equipped for a whirlwind weekend trip. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the location was excellent for walking up and down the Royal mile. The recommended food and sightseeing sites were both wonderful. Definitely will keep in mind if we're ever back in Scotland for a longer stay!

Great flat for exploring Edinburgh
This is a great home base for exploring Edinburgh. Right at the Holyrood end of the Royal Mile with easy access to Arthur's Seat. The place is well set up for a stay in the city with basic amenities and a convenient location. I would be happy to revisit if I'm ever back in Edinburgh.

Great apartment for my wife and I. Stayed a few nights. Was clean and well equipped. Very close to everything you’ll need. Walking distance to all the sites, grocery store and shopping. Parking was easy. The lobby was rough but not a huge issue for us. I would stay here again.

My wife, daughter and I enjoyed staying in this apartment. The apartment itself was nicely appointed and comfortable. The location was within walking distance of everything we wished to see in Edinburgh, such as the Royal Mile. Perfect location, clean and modern
This Edinburgh flat had everything we needed to enjoy our first time visiting this city. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped, and the living room and bedroom furnishings stylish and comfortable. The walk through Holyrood Park was a perfect way to return to the apartment after a day of touring.

Great location
Close to Holyrood Palace and an emerging neighbourhood of new cafes and restaurants. It is small but well appointed. The one downside is the appearance of the lobby area as you enter the building.

Thanks for the review. We are doing are best to get the lobby area spruced up a bit. Unfortunately, although we can make our apartment lovely we do have very little control of the lobby area.

Comfortable and convenient.
This is a great efficiency apartment in a great location. Very clean and comfortable. There's a wonderful and thoughtful guide book with in depth suggestions of places to visit and eat. The location is quiet, safe, and friendly and perfectly located for touring the town. Our host was quick to be in touch and they allowed us to check in our bags early as our flight came in early.

Cute place
All the needed amenities for a several day stay in the city of Edinburgh. The location was very good, close in for the walk to the Palace, park and Castle. Very clean and new, easy for a meal to cook in when you have had enough of eating out. The neighborhood looks questionable at first, but once you realize you are in a very old part of the city, it’s no different then the area all around the Mile and quite safe for walking at night. We were able to find parking each of our days, a nice benefit for being just a little off the inner city beaten path. Great welcome email info, lots of good tips for food and things to do in the area. Thanks guys!

Good and modern equipped apartment with nice decoration, good WiFi and kitchen with all utilities. Situated in an older apartment building on 1st floor. Quiet location and nice free view in street opposite. Easy to reach by tram from airport + bus 44, supermarket Sainsburry not far away and just 10 minutes walk to beginning of the Royal Mile.
