Hôtel is much better in pictures than in reallity, lobby , breakfast and pool are perfect, 5 minutes walk to to town. Now the room are dated, and the damp smell is awfull. We had few rooms on different floors and all had the same issue. . Been traveling to Asia for a long time and this is the first time it happen. I would understood that issue in a cheaper hotel but from the rates they are charging it’s unacceptable. When back in el nido will book somewhere else

For the nightly rate paid, would expect a free capuccino like I got in Manila. Pool is good, bed not as comfy and constant motorcycle noise so helps to being earplugs. BBQ was abut of a rip off where askinf us to pre purchas a ticket for very minimal value of picking off pretty uch the restaurant menu and paying the difference. Plumbing also smelt bad in last two days.

All the staff was great from the front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, pool staff, everyone was so nice and helpful! Our room was nice and spacious! The AC worked great!

The property stands out in terms of aesthetic. It’s really pretty from the outside and prettier when you see the interior. It’s very modern yet you will feel at home because of the furniture made of local materials. The staff is exceptional. Bambi and Richmond made our stay unforgettable. They were very accommodating and very friendly. They made sure we’re comfortable during our stay. I will definitely go back.

Great hotel in terms of location and staff. The room was spacious for 5 people. However, the room especially the shower is not super clean. If you are a clean freak I would be weary. But if you’re okay with convenience and closeness to the town I would stay here.

Lagun Hotel exceeded our expectations. We had read some negative online reviews and were concerned about smell, mould etc based on those reviews. I contacted the hotel prior to arriving to seek assurance prior problems were resolved. On arrival we were pleased to enjoy a modern, clean and fresh hotel and room. Its location is good. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. Also helped book fantastic boat tours. Only negative was they dont supply drinking water for the rooms - have to go out and buy it. Overall was better than we expected.

The check in was a welcomed one. The restaurant was a good experience with decent food. The facility wasn’t clean. There were mosquitoes in the room. The WiFi wasn’t good. You couldn’t watch any tv unless you link your mobile device to it. Overpriced with the laundry service. When you receive your clothes from the laundry service, the clothes return to you worse than how you gave them. Unclean and very wrinkled. I will never stay here again.

Horrible experience! Extremely dirty rooms and bad customer service. We booked here for 2 nights. No wonder they make it non refundable. The rooms smell so horrible you are unable to stay in them. We checked in at 2pm. Our AC wasn’t working and as soon as you opened the door to the room you were hit with a smell of urine and mold. The smell was so strong it made all 3 of us sick. We went to the front desk and asked if they had any other rooms because of the smell and broken AC and they offered to send someone up to check on it… they said they fixed the AC and we were hoping that would calm down the smell so we left it running while we went to lunch. We came back to a still hot and smelly room. We ended up booking at another hotel because the smell was so strong it was giving us headaches and making us cough. Everytime some one flushed a toilet in the rooms above us our drains would gurgle and you could smell more sewage. When we spoke to the front desk they promised us that there would be no charge since we only were there for and hour and a half. However, they have refused to respond to hotels.com’s refund request so I am out close to $400 for refusing to sleep in a urine and mold filled room.

Staff were amazing. Room was big and air conditioned, beds super comfy. Bathroom directly into bedroom which wasn’t great and we didn’t have a balcony so very hard to dry swimming costumes etc. Great location. Just at top of town, easy to walk in or grab a trike.

The lagun hotel was the worst hotel we stayed at in Philippines. We are not complainers at all but we pays good money for a good hotel and this hotel is rated incorrectly. The hotel rooms are full of black mould, which made us sick with really bad headaches and coughs. As soon as we wee outside the hotel during the day we felt better I timed returned to the hotel. The staff and manager ignored our complaints and offers us nothing to help, The rooms smell of mould, musty dampness. Towels and clothes won’t dry because of the moist air and smell. The showers in both our rooms were lined with black mould. I brought a blanket with me and it was wet and stunk like mould when I left. This is a terrible hotel with staff covering up a massive mould problem. I just noticed now that there are multiple reviews from other guests saying the same thing in their reviews. The staff called us liars to Expedia who phoned them to ask about the problem. We are not liars. The hotel sucks!!!!

I was very comfortable at this hotel. The room was cozy and nice. The staff was superb and I’d like to recognize and commend in particular Cherry and girlie and the gentlemen who I unfortunately didn’t get his name that attended to my room service orders. I had a couple small issues during check in such as the toilet not properly flushing and the tv not connecting to the internet but they fixed these problems immediately and were extremely attentive in making sure their customers were happy. The free breakfast was excellent. On the first day there was a buffet and the subsequent days it was made to order. I am not sure why but I am guessing it was bc they didn’t have alot of people and didn’t want to waste food which I can appreciate and understand. If you are sensitive sound I do not recommend the balcony rooms as u can hear the motor bikes even with the sturdy door. Also I did NOT like this area personally. It’s convenient if u are taking several tours as it is a 10 min walk to el Nido town but for it was very busy and once u walk to the beach u can’t swim at this beach. It is full of boats and people trying to sell things. The area of town I prefer which is more quite is called las cabanas. Thank you again to the lovely staff!

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. It's an easy walk down to the beach where all the tour boats head out, as well as other cafes and restaurants. Breakfast had nice variety of Filipino dishes and brewed coffee.

We arrived very early morning and was greeted with a warm smile and a shell lei. The room was exactly the same what was shown in the website. It’s very clean, spacious and artfully designed. Loved the red tiles in the bathroom and had rain shower head, which I always looked for when I booked my accommodation. Nothing beats a great shower after a day of playing tourist. The staff were amazing from the receptionist, waitstaff and engineering, (we couldn’t work out the TV remote, we had to point the remote at the back of the tv😉).They were all very friendly and accommodating. Shoutout to Hanzel who checked us in and out and also prepared coffee and pandesal with jams for our 3am early checkout, it was unexpected but highly appreciated. Won’t hesitate to recommend the hotel and for sure will come back again to stay! PS The view from the rooftop pool was amazing as it was overseeing the cliff and it makes you feel close to nature! Again thank you Lagun Hotel and we will see guys again in the near future! Jess and Zuzzette xo

Property is located in a very good location and the receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. Parking area is very small and i had to be skipping dog poop... need to try and fix that issue.

If you stay in one of the front facing rooms you have a small deck that faces a magnificent rock faced mountain. The regular rooms in the back face a not so pleasant mountain range. We had to keep our blinds closed. The pool is breathtaking with the view and a bar. The staff are so helpful. If you order from the restaurant, be prepared to wait a long time for your meal, and for your meal to come out in waves (some get their dish early, others are waiting 30 plus minutes). The breakfast buffet is nice. Walking distance to Catholic church, shops, beach, activities etc. You are in the middle of so much activity. I would stay here again.

The property is perfect if you are participating in one of the islands hoping tours. My observation is for the unsafe nature of the streets and environment around the hotel. There are minimum sidewalks and motor bikes and tricycles have no respect for tourist walking around.
