We liked the location , but a car is necessary. It is better to visit a larger number of beaches and choose the one that suits you. Apartment is comfortable and well equipped. The downside of the coin are mosquitoes, there are countless , and do not respond to pills.

We stayed for 3 days and had a lovely stay with our three children. The staff were very relaxed and friendly and the area itself is lovely. There is a market on a Tuesday and we picked up some bargains. We would definitely recommend.

Beautiful location. Extrodinary views. Hotel was a bit run down, but the staff was wonderful. The island was unbelievable. We planned to stay 3 days, but decided to stay a week.
The good things about the Alithai were the excellent swimming pool & the Thai restaurant which served good food. However I was very disappointed with the rooms, which were very basic & they represented poor value for money for the amount being charged per night. I would have expected air conditioning ...
