"No hot water, shampoo conditioner and body wash all empty. Tried to call front desk and phone didn’t work. Soda machine didn’t work. Alot of stains on bottom part of bed. Asked about the hot water they said they never have problems with it. Probably one of the worst hotels we’ve been to "

"The check-in was fine once we got used to the locks. The house is old with character. Rooms are large and would be great for a large family. The beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets available. One shower stall is very small and hard to maneuver in. A hand shower would be easier to use. The other bathrooms were fine. It was nice to have plenty of boxes of tissues. There were no amenities in the cupboards like salt and pepper, sweetners and cream packets for coffee or, dish detergent for hand washing. The toaster was broken. There were paper filters. It could stand a little more cleaning like around bathroom fans and smeared marks on the cupboards, but not a major deal for most. It is in a good location, close to churches and downtown. Furniture was comfortable and it had a good internet connection, but TV channels were limited to free oldies or we didn't know how to tune cable channels in. Nice to have a VRBO in Chesaning. "

"There were plenty of rooms for everyone and lots of space. We ended up 20 people of all ages and had plenty of room. The kids and the adults enjoyed the game room upstairs. Just know that the kitchen is not set up for a lot of cooking. We brought prepared meals, but I know there are catering options. Thankfully there is plenty of refrigerator space. "

"Very small rooms in this old-fashioned roadside motel. Some cosmetic upgrades have taken place but there's only so much you can do for an old cinder block building. The biggest problem was heat. It's radiant heat with no way to control it. They have a fake thermostat for a central air furnace on the wall, but it does nothing. It's March and the only way to get the heat below 80 is to leave windows open! Doesn't feel to safe leaving ground level windows open. We were roasting hot. We also had ants. The mattress was super hard, so in conjunction with the heat, we didn't sleep much. The motel is pet friendly, which means they charge you $20 per night for pets. Not sure how this qualifies as friendly. Our dog didn't use linens, towels, or eat some dry cereal from their "continental breakfast" so I'm not sure why we paid more. Might be better to be here in summer and use the wall mounted air conditioner, but we'll never come back in winter. "
