Thimble cottage, 7 night stay.

Pleasant cottage overlooking the tidal mill pond at Emsworth, frontage faces setting sun. Kitchen appliances and utensils excellent. Bathroom shower a bit Heath-Robinson, could be.improved. Garden path up to parking space needs cutting back to avoid the thorns. Emsworth is ideal venue for hostelries and restaurants- plenty of choice for both. Enjoyable stay.

A great place to stay

Loved our stay at the very comfortable Thimble Cottage, great location just a couple of minutes walk from the village centre and easy access to off lead dog walks. Nice to stay at a property without a plethora of notices saying don't do this and don't do that, presumably the assumption is that you will treat the property as if it was your own (we did). Everywhere was very clean and tidy on arrival, all the kitchen appliances were of a high quality, no manual for the cooker but I suspect most would get it going relatively quickly! The bathroom would be ideal for those who enjoy a 'retro' colour scheme, the shower is a little odd, however, it's all fully functional which is the overriding requirement. Nice restaurant called the 'Fat Olives' close by (pre-booking is best), a couple of more affordable pubs also within easy walking distance. Emsworth Deli also worth a visit. Overall a very happy stay.

The Mill Pond

Excellent location , property had all that we expected and then more. There were only one or two niggles which we got over, but instructions on how to use the microwave and oven would have helped. When we arrived we noticed that the dustbin was absolutely full with no indication about waste collection days or where we were supposed to leave the bin.
