"Good location. A short walk (500 yards) up a steep hill from the main strip in English Harbour provides amazing views of Nelson’s dockyard near enough to walk to all the restaurants and far enough away from the noise of the nightclubs so the only sound at night are the tree frogs chirping. Annie and Roger are super friendly, helpful and welcoming. 10/10 for staff. Simple but delicious breakfast served on the large terrace overlooking the sea completes the peaceful charm of this colonial style home. The vibe is simple, friendly and homely rather than high end polished veneer and we loved it’s slightly quirky rustic charm. "

"We loved the room that we stayed in. It appeared to be recently renovated, clean with comfortable beds. I didn't particular care for the location - right next to a major drop off point for day time cruise passengers and the massive Sandals resort, but some people may enjoy that energy. The pool area was quiet and we enjoyed that part of the resort. "

"The room was very clean and beautiful. It was a smaller resort but the staff where incredibly friendly and always smiling and saying good morning. The meals were from a set menu, but even as a picky eater I was always impressed and left full. The bartenders were personable and always willing to make new drinks. There is no direct beach access, but a quick boat ride from the dock or a 15 minute walk would get you to a very quite beach. We planned to eat at Breeze resteraunt and have a drink overlooking the ocean but found out after we walked there is was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Would definitely recommend this resort for relaxing and recharging. "

"The room is for relaxing, the staff is always fun and courteous and it wasn’t our first time there and it won’t be our last. The beach(es) nearby are great and there’s variety when you go to different ones. "

"The staff around the hotel was friendly and welcoming. My room was in a perfect location for a quiet and restful few days. The views around the resort were beautiful. Having the ability to go to Prickly Pear Beach from the shoreline was an added bonus. There were plenty of lounge chairs around the adult pool and beach. Overall, I came to Antigua to get away from the cold weather in New York and to relax, and The Hodges definitely helped me achieve both of those goals."
