"We had the most wonderful stay in Katie's Cottage. We met the lovely host Caroline on arrival and we couldn't have gotten a warmer welcome. There was fresh scones with jam and butter and a bottle of wine in the fridge. The house was absolutely immaculate with loads of fresh towels and bed linen. 4/10 Poor

"booked a family rooms, asked for 3 beds, had a call with the hotel the week before and asked again for 3 beds. Checked in on the day and asked again to ensure there were 3 beds as had to visit a relative before going to the room. Got to the room at 8 o'clock that evening only 2 beds. Staff in the hotel arent great and the food is just ok"

"We were late arriving but it wasn't a problem, the night porter was expecting us and check in was quick and efficient. Our room was spacious and immaculate as was the bathroom. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had an issue with our tv but it was sorted within minutes of our request. I used the spa and the swimming pool and both were great. A lovely hotel and lovely staff. We hope to be back soon."

"Wonderful place to be based for a trip to Ireland. Loved the private beach, the views of the lake, fishing on the lake, and of course the donkeys! Enjoyed lots of days out around Mayo and Sligo. Mary was a lovely host! Highly recommend the venue as place to enjoy in and of its self as well as base to go exploring! "
